The answer is, while we can take measures to reduce aviation emissions, we can't make aviation sustainable – not now, not ever. See NFU Canada for the reality of replacing kerosene with SAF: www.nfu.ca/publications...
If we genuinely want to reduce aviation emissions, it HAS to mean flying less.
