No. They can’t. There was apparently a lot of damage to his urethra. He has Penrose drain from his scrotum and will have a Foley catheter for at least two weeks. At some point he may decide to see a reconstructive urologist.
I know more about bladder cancer than I ever wanted to know!

Thank you. It’s been pretty awful for him.

Well…our real vacay is supposed to start tomorrow in Ocracoke - on the Outer Banks off the coast of NC, three hours by ferry. We were at my mom’s, with big hiking plans for the week. Instead, we got the hospital. His surgery was 3 hours long. Hopefully we can go tomorrow.

Thanks. He’s had problems ever since March 14. At least it is out now.

I don’t know. Obviously I am not happy with the urologist in Atlanta who did the original procedure. I realize things happen but we made multiple calls before we left that went ignored. We have arranged to see a new urologist and if anything else is needed, a reconstructive urologist will do it.

He had BCG for the bladder cancer, not radiation. He had radiation for prostate cancer in 2011. He looks like the healthiest person in the world - gym every day, hiking, yard work. He’s like the energizer bunny.

This is the latest in a long line of complications from bladder cancer. If you notice blood in your urine or anything unusual, please get checked. #bladdercancer

We are at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and I have been very pleased with the care. Surgery was scheduled for noon but they took him down at 0600. I was here by 0700 but I didn’t get to see him before surgery.

Total incompetence. But we knew that from the beginning.

That’s a good possibility. When I see papers with a high probability of AI, I generally find at least one false citation. How stupid do they think we are??????

I’ve been considering it since RFK’s appointment and his nonsense. Now I’ve pretty much decided.

It’s astounding that people I used to think were decent, intelligent people support him.

Women (of course there are exceptions) tend to put ego aside and listen instead of trying to prove their masculinity.
