With another set of news headlines about political elites using “””Roman salutes””” I just want to note that the Nazi salute means “I want to murder your family” and the n-word means “I want to lynch you.” That’s what they mean, they make me righteously angry, and I won’t let anybody minimize them.

Canadians understand this. Why doesn’t Canada’s national broadcaster? #CBC #Canada #CanadaSky #cdnpoli #CrossCountryFuckUp 🇨🇦

In the summer of 1940, German bombers dropped copies of an “Appeal to Reason,” a hefty leaflet of Hitler’s three hour speech before the German Reichstag. But only because the BBC didn’t broadcast it.

I'm a staunch supporter of public broadcasting but I'm incandescent with rage and disgust at the CBC. They failed Canadians today. cbc.radio-canada.ca/en/ombudsman...

You know I love a good Venn Diagram. Been seeing this one around lately. Seems to sum up the times.

“Join CBC next Sunday when they discuss CHILD ABDUCTION: A CONVERSATION. Sure it’s illegal and immoral, but join hosts as they ignore that and discuss the pros and cons of abduction in a stimulating intellectual conversation.” Obviously /sarc. Shame on the CBC for normalizing an act of war.

With all this noise about Canada’s sovereignty, we should take a step back and appreciate the special country we have built. Here’s a list of 20 things that highlight Canada’s place in the world, with a particular comparison to our southern neighbours. Feel free to add more. 🇨🇦

Paging Canada: Your future doctors are fleeing the U.S. by @codeblackamerica.bsky.social

Ian Fleming's original James Bond novels haven't aged well. For example, Moonraker - published almost exactly 70 years ago in April 1955 - features a villain who's a super-rich industrialist and rocket-maker seeking to cause chaos because he's a secret Nazi. Such a silly idea!

To me, a Nazi salute means, "I want to murder your family." There can be no irony about it: It puts deep anger and hatred in my heart to see it done and I will never forgive anyone who justifies or minimizes it.

My law firm cancelled our partner's retreat to Chicago. We are re-scheduling for somewhere in Canada. Although I've only been here a few years, at least a decade straight were in the US. This is now the third trip I've canceled since Nov. Two personal and one business.

Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine. Nothing about Europe without Europe.

Again, were I the UCP, I would live in mortal fear of Carrie Tait

Hey folks rather than quote tweeting links from Cross Country Checkup or Hanomansing, giving them engagement they so desperately crave, I'd suggest taken 3 minutes and writing to the CBC Ombudsman who will take our complaints seriously. cbc.radio-canada.ca/en/ombudsman...

This is phenomenal. Everyone read this. Pay particular attention to point two: Stop Talking, Start Doing. We can talk on here, but we must take to the streets, organize, ACT. No sitting wondering about a backlash. We are the backlash. Make it visible through ACTION.

BREAKING: Mexican President Sheinbaum argues that if cartels are deemed terrorist orgs, then the suppliers of weapons—over 74% of which come FROM the U.S.—should ALSO face accountability for enabling terrorism. As a result, Mexico is expanding its lawsuit targeting U.S gun manufacturers. 🇲🇽

It's not complicated.

Have we really forgotten that the Nazis were the worst humans to ever walk the Earth? I don’t understand how this isn’t triggering mass protests in every city in the US or a response from the armed forces. We (the US, Canada, Britain, etc) fought, and won, a war over this shit. #LestWeForget

Unless we speak up this type of garbage will continue. I support funding the CBC but I want that money spent by the CBC to support Canada. Please take a minute to contact them.

We are arms dealers to terrorists.

The CBC needs a reminder of what it means to be Canada's national broadcaster. Mr. Hanomansing, you and your producers are unqualified for these serious times.

Albertans are slowly waking up to the depths of the scandal enveloping the UCP government. A lot of folks are wondering how to explain what's going on to people who haven't been tuning in. Here's the what, so what now what, and what's next of the situation. 🧵

Leading expert on tyranny👇, offering some hope that the populist fever is breaking. Next steps are critical. Conservative & moderate leaders need to re-normalize pluralism by pushing back & re-erecting guardrails. Progressives need to provide space & cover. True in Alberta as it is in America.

Making off like bandits. Who looks at the U.S.(has some of the most prohibitive HC in the world) and thinks that we should copy that? Answer: the UCP and folks who want to get rich.

THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center say results of a Phase I trial of an mRNA vaccine aimed at preventing pancreatic cancer show promise. The vaccine PREVENTED the cancer from coming back in patients who had already received treatment for MORE THAN three years. 🧪🧵⬇️
