I take a very close look at the base game sprites from the style I’m adapting, then try to see how I can apply it.
With Mario, I tried to keep the line style very close to Sonic Battle, even if he’s not angular enough.

I don’t think this is a spoiler, but I saw a recent clip being passed by showing Jumba’s new voice. Was relieved to see more people open to critique the erasure of his accent, instead of defending it and framing it as “nostalgia-blind”.
