I think in a vacuum the Vader hallway scene is extremely cool. But following a somber final moment between two characters with that is tonal whiplash and a recipe for taking the wrong message away from a movie.
For the record though, I do like the scene with Vader and Krennic.

it's fine though. two perfect seasons which, length and structure, break down into about 8 perfect movies. this is "star wars" for me, now, and I don't really need anything else, same as how DS9 is star trek and I don't need any other trek
