Good news: CA rice fields, flooded for the winter, are producing a food source for young salmon. Roger Cornwall, along with UC Davis, CA Trout and State water are creating eco-systems that will flood into streams and rivers, giving protein-rich food for salmon, resulting in fish 3x bigger.

Good news: the three Klamath River dams have been removed, enabling salmon to run up the river for the first time in 100 years. The Yurok tribe has just spread 11,600 pounds of native seeds along 68 miles of riverbanks to begin restoration of the riparian habitat. The healing begins.
