no lo dice directamente, pero está implícito: el gobierno debería abandonar el poder dos años antes porque ha perdido la autoridad moral 🙄🙄🙄 elpais.com/opinion/2025...

🚨🚨 Whilst the EU-UK deal was a clear improvement and win for Starmer, we should not forget that it does not change the major premises of relationship which is enshrined in the TCA and that #brexit still is a long and dragging beast of misery and pain. 🧵 www.politico.eu/article/brit...

Angela Rayner says that Labour MPs who rebel against the Welfare Bill will lose the whip There are 403 Labour MPs Any Labour MP who votes for withdrawing PIP support from the disabled as outlined in this welfare bill is an absolute disgrace

Krishnan Guru-Murthy reports that Liz Kendall (who along with her husband who earn over £750k combined) Says of her welfare cuts "fairness for the people who need support and fairness for the taxpayer" 370,000 disabled people will lose their PIP payments

Pedro dishing it out to PPVox hordes is one of my favourite things. After 7 years they still don't realise that goading him only cheers and energises him

When the UK was in the EU, many people had never even heard of the ECHR. With a little help from Farage though it was bought to our attention but cleverly dressed up to appear to be a part of the EU to which we must obey. Many people still believe the ECHR is an EU construct even though it isn’t.

My job often involves having awkward conversations with people about the right way of doing things and the benefits of this. Never would I go "well, I'll be more popular if I come out with something that other people like, which is in fact wrong." Truly, I despair.

Here we go again. The Labour Party running scared of a racist minority and doing the work of the far right.

Total, unwavering commitment to xenophobic loser shit

Remember Frexit, Grexit, Irexit and all the other *exits the baying Brexiters assured us would be coming along within weeks or months of Brexit? Well, that's one more thing they literally couldn't have been more wrong about. Support for EU membership is now at record levels.

He's just saying all this mad far right pish to win the election and is going to tack to the left as soon as he gets into poweraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggghhhhhhh! Can you please take your awesome and sensible boot off my humble scumbag neck while I'm licking it Mr Prime Minister sir?

When I first saw the headline I assumed it was an error, but on reading the piece I see that no, the Home Office is genuinely suggesting that two children go and live in Brazil without their parents, who are both legal UK residents and employed.

The immigration system in a nutshell - a Brazilian sex offender allowed to stay here, but the small children of a professor and a nurse who are here legally are ordered to be deported without their parents

It blows my mind that Spanish journalists quote the English media's opinions on Spanish politics, in this case The Times, which has been moving right for years. Imagine a Guardian political journalist writing about a crisis in Labour and quoting "El Mundo" You can't bc it wd never happen

What a very refreshing initiative proposed by @carladenyer.bsky.social and @zoejardiniere.bsky.social

I'm trying to write a 'first tragedy, then farce' joke where the tragedy is Nick Clegg tripling tuition fees after campaigning on their abolition, and the farce is a similar fold by the Tories in a Reform coalition, but I can't think of anything reputationally degrading that they havent already done

It's high time to bin the Home Office, or at least that part of it which deals with immigration matters. Then rebuild it from scratch with people who can deal with others as fellow humans, rather than relying on idiotic mechanistic "computer says no" rules. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

There are many ways to lose your head on social media

Places are becoming unliveable. People will have to move #NomadCentury

Brexit Benefit … for those in the EU …

People whose absolute high-water mark of British political and civil life was Tony Blair and the New Labour government (as they openly declare), lamenting a technocratic British PM acting as spineless lickspittle to the misguided imperial ambitions of a scarcely literate US President. We're back.

It's time to abolish the Home Office. It is not fit for purpose & has totally lost the trust of every stakeholder it serves - We knew that already. So I looked into how it could practically be done for @carladenyer.bsky.social My NEW report out today 👇👇

Abolish the minimum income requirement
