This is literally what I indicated when people were whining about her during the release announcement of TWW when they started whining about her the first.

no not that. It's more about me reading homestuck and informing myself about it and finding it genius good and wholesome

This is why my opinion of Homestuck grows better and better every day but I'm not going to elaborate on that.

What cannot be, however, is that you end up absolutely imposing something that people need to or have to interact with a way or another, and shut down the feedback or the input of people who may be more hyperfixated than you, the writer.

It's the bane of Horizontal Writing and developing something Else instead of what is already there. It tires me so.

I think the reading of Sun worshipping is not correct, I feel people are taking it too literally when it is an allegory That said, I agree it would be better suited for the people who had an already established religion for it.

WC is a franchise that lives on its ability to subvert fantasy norms and spotlight unconventional heroes, yet all its done as of late is effectively push the unconventional heroes and subversions to the side and hyperfixate on a cast of conventionally heroic characters and groups.

I think it's a mistake to read her disability too diegetically and also forget she acts as a narrative representation of a disabled character who got used to all that. The point is that she is offered a prosthetic again at some point and she refuses it.

So if you're wonder how to write something boundary-breaking or heaven forfend, viscerally queer? Something with actual teeth, guts, a spine to be ripped out and consumed? Write ... characters who aren't afraid to act on desire. They can start out that way, but developing into an agent is cool!

at some point you can always stop and retake, polish or expand on some ideas more vertically, and not keep adding shit on a whim

I mean this on a deep level What was the point of Sunwalkers and Anshe in cata if there was never a plan for anything acknowledgement or use after? It’s literally ONLY Tauren who’s faith gets disregarded like this - and that’s SO SO sus with how IRL Native American coded they are by blizz
