I used to work at 240 Blackfrairs up until 2020. Recently took a trip down the high street there & was amazed at the changes. Wish it was like that when I was there!

It looks like Windows blinds from the Win95 days. Thankfully with an accessibility feature you can disable it.

If you really wanna go minimal and you're already in an iPhone ecosystem try the Apple Watch Ultra. It's a mini iphone on your wrist. Can make/take calls/texts and has maps. Needs another £7 a month on your contract to get cell coverage though.

That's how i feel about the new pound land layouts. You get in but can't get out

Honestly at this stage I take that as a sign of care. 99.9% of other people I encounter don't even ask.

Excellent data! Makes a compelling reason to go for a national 20mph limit like Wales

Montreal has such a nice feel in the summer. Avenue du Mont-Royal is amazing. Shame about the wasps though!

Isn't it more complicated with GLP-1? It's really a mimic for fibre. I'm against it because it's a life long treatment when we could just ban junk food advertising, offer free whole foods to people & have much better health outcomes. I am a big vaccine fan, get my rona shot every 6 months

The reasons people accept are bizzare too. If i say I'm caring for someone then it's fine. If i say uts for me i must justify it. If i say it's for horrific hayfever it's fine. Makes 0 sense

My experience too. I think I had it in late 2023, took me out of training/my life for 3 months. I tried to maintain some semblance of training via an ebike but when I'd returned I'd literally lost 40% of my power at my LT1 on the bike. Took 3 months to recover it, so 6 months total.

RFK looks like he couldn't run a 12 min mile. He's the typical unfit but insta fit.

I can recommend Guiness 0.0 if you like the alcohol version. It tastes the same!

You've not given her a p60 & used an LLM?!

I don't like the BBC because the courts are filled with their war on the poor, typically women enforcement of the license fee (approx 1 in 10 cases of all court cases!). They harass my mother for a fee she's already paid & private agents threaten to enter your house.

I don't know any autistic people personally. But thankfully to shows like Astrid et Raphaëlle, Aytypical I know he is full of shit. Fiction has a really important role to play in telling stories of marginalised people. Just like Will & Grace did in the 90s

I had flu 4 weeks ago, was the worst acute illness of my life. During the recovery weeks I couldn't use my mountain bike on trails - my brain just wouldn't work & I kept messing up. Definitely something I've felt.

Interestingly did a speed test between the latest sab vs NZBGet's latest fork. They both had identical speeds on a xeon 1225 v3. Max sped i could get was around 2.2gbps (3gbps internet). In the old days NZBGet was so much faster. Sab has closed the gap.

You may get some threats of violence if you don't wipe your phone. It's a known scam so they can remove your Google/Apple account and resell. DO NOT WORRY IT'S A SCAM: www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comm...

I see there's no safe dose. Even PM2.5 of 1 has an uptick? Off I go to turn the fan speed up on my purifiers!

Thank god I got air cleaners for pollen just prior to covid. Been breathing in PM2.5 between 0-3 all that time.

*as with all his (Chomsky's) stuff it's referenced to death
comment in response to post
There's the rub. It's not so overt as outright bribes. It's a system of filters - you only get the position if you think a certain way. Chomsky did a great book on it, that's also a documentary if you prefer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQXs... As with all this stuff it's referenced to death.

Really shareable article, thanks. I'm covid cautious but I didn't even know that the IQ reduction was even in those who didn't suffer long covid.

Not sure I agree. Jurnalists led with the Gulf of Tonkin incident (1964) that was completely fabricated fake news so the US continue bombing their South Vietnamese ally & enter the North. More recently, Iraq 2003 - weapons of mass destruction fake news was parroted by the media.

Brits/Canadians in the UK. Wife often travels for business to the US (investment, not science though). We've decided that we're not going to the US due to the unpredictable behavior of ICE.

Adults can't put their phones down when driving multi ton vehicles that will mame and kill people. Kids aren't really the problem here.

In the UK Starmar's pushing through radical cuts to any disability payments. At the same time he refuses vaccines against covid to anyone except the over 75s. Horrific

I never wanted to visit the US after watching Rendition (www.imdb.com/title/tt0804...). Definitely never going after this, my wife often travels for business & she's never visiting again either.

My dad used to tell me it was the lumbar industry causing North Americans to build crappy homes. Wonder how true that is. We have brick homes in the UK & our climate is a joke. Our brick homes are full of mould & poorly ventilated but they don't blow over.
