BONUS: A good mention here about Butoh influence. I had noticed myself there was an interestingly leaning into of classic Japanese theatrics, like the set-up to the boss battle, but Butoh is a very good call for the enemy movements:

I always forget to mention Shattered Memories school, maybe since its "loosely" following SH1's blueprint. But I did like the school in it myself.

(78/78) In many ways not as much to dissect here as a lot of it is a bit straight forward in this trailer, though has planted a lot of thoughts & theories into my head for the overall game. I look forward to Silent Hill f releasing on September 25th, & the next time we see the game.

(77/78) The concept art of her makes it clearer its her stomach & chest which have been punctured. There is a also a kusarigama hanging from her kanabō, which is interesting to me.
The "Scream" she does seems to make the whole arena arena red for the presumable boss fight.

(76/77) Obviously she almost looks like a slightly mummified decaying corpse here with her jaw torn out. I am willing to bet that her looking like a corpse here that's been dead for some time, with appearance that she took blunt trauma to the head, probably means something.

(74/77) her voice regressed to a child's. As she stands up, we see has a gaping hole where her stomach & uterus should be, & she's notably wielding a golden kanabō. A kanabō is often associated with Oni (demons), or as signs of an indomitable spirit or overwhelming power. It's

(73/77) a spear as she approaches a slumped over figure. The figure gets up, huddled in a position like Sakuko was in earlier in the cage. Hinako even recognizes it looks like her & calls her name to it. Though the voice of the monster notably sounds like Sakuko but younger, like

(72/??) We see Hinako gets a lantern to carry around at some point in Dark Shrine World, noticeably this must be earlier in the game as her sleeve is again, intact.
And then we see her approach what feels like a boss battle to me, maybe the first boss battle in the game, holding

(71/83) We see a shot of a house with a giant torii gate by a graveyard. Then we see a shot of Dark Shrine World where there's something (or someone) sitting surrounded by offerings under a red sheet.

(70/??) We see Hinako fighting inside of a school locker room, then a blackboard with the word "LIE" written on it over and over again.
Sakuko goes on, "I hate the dark! I hate being alone..."

(69/??) wonder if there's intent with the story behind that decision.
Going to add I fucking love how the school setting looks, some really gorgeous areas here.
Sakuko continues talking while crying. "We made a promise to each other... That we'd be together forever!"

(68/??) There's undoubtedly a doll theme to a number of enemies in this game, but these scarecrows 100% act more "doll like" than the earlier Kashimashis. Their whole bodies tort around almost like they're being puppeteered by strings that we cannot see, which writing that out

(67/??) to be scarecrows mostly of her friends. And as expected, some of the scarecrows come to life & try to attack you. But it does seem like there's a mix of scarecrows that don't move at all, ones that are part of a puzzle, and ones that come to life to attack you.

(66/??) into gameplay?
We see a scarecrow of Shy this time, but maybe intentionally as you approach it, suddenly a scarecrow of Rinko rushes out poised to stab you.
In the Rice Paddy Field it was mostly scarecrows of Hinako we saw with one of Rinko, here in the school it seems

(65/??) confirmed you do go into the school in Silent Hill f. We see we have another scarecrow section here. We hear Sakuko's voice this time, she says, "I don't want to be alone by myself. It's lonely..."
Can see scarecrows hanging from the ceiling now. Wondering if that'll come

(64/??) Rice Paddy scene take place before the earlier alley scene, or this upcoming school scene. Which btw, I had mentioned last trailer when we saw an exterior of the school it'd be cool to enter it, as we haven't actually had a school setting in Silent Hill since SH1, but now

(63/??) Something really interesting I only just noticed is Hinako has her shirt sleeve in the Dark Shrine cage shot earlier & the Rice Paddy shot, where her shirt is torn again in these school shots & the earlier alley combat shots. So it'd imply the Dark Shrine Cage scene & the

(62/??) (correction, this scarecrow isn't of Hinako, this one is decorated like Rinko only just noticed)
-to start fiddling with it as this seems to be a puzzle. She pulls a nail out, & the scarecrow contorts to point the knife right at Hinako.
comment in response to

(61/??) Rinko continues, "You've got it all! It'll do me some good to finally be rid of a burden like you!" Hinako appropriately is approaching a scarecrow version of herself in the field which is holding a knife while a knife is also stabbed in its back. Hinako interact with it

(60/??) We cut away to Hinako in a foggy rice paddy field full of scarecrows, one normal one but then a bunch of them poised & twisted in unnatural ways which are decorated to look like her, scattered all about.
We hear Rinko say, "It must be so great to be you, Hinako!"

(59/??) to have a character die then wake up from a dream.
While now clearly in the Dark Shrine World, we hear Sakuko call out Hinako's name, see her sitting in a cage crouched down holding herself, asking where Hinako has gone while sounding scared.
comment in response to

(58/??) The scene cuts to Hinako waking up in shock someplace else, slowly getting up & looking around.
Obviously a cut for the trailer, but the last trailer also had a theme of Hinako waking up after a particularly nasty scene, & its certainly not out of character for the series

(57/??) We see Hinako struggle with a Kashimashi who grabs her from the ground. They struggle, Hinako fails the struggle, & the Kashimashi seems to stab her in the throat. The scene immediately jump cuts away from this scene so we don't see the aftermath.

(56/??) critical damage & a blood spurt & staggers the enemy.
We see an Ara-abare grab her at a bit of a distance with a tentacle, & throw her to the ground closer to it, unclear as the clip changes if it has a follow-up attack to this.
comment in response to

(55/??) Then we see when Hinako does special hits, there's "impact frame" with a visual effect to show an effective hit. It seems if Hinako hits an enemy right when its doing its attack animation, it "impacts" to stagger them. We also see Hinako do a heavy attack, which delivers

(54/??) We see Hinako shove off an enemy and it falls over and crumbles to the ground, probably allowing her to stomp on it.
comment in response to

(53/??) We see the combat in f is a little more "gameified" than most Silent Hill games, with a lot of specific actions in a row.
We see Hinako take two hits in a row quickly, showing that enemies can combo you if you're not responding well & are careful in combat.
comment in response to

(52/??) It's a little hard to fully picture here, but there's clear "enemy damage" being done where you chip the plaster away from the doll enemies skin and see more flesh underneath.
We get a lot of combat here, & see some unique features of this games combat system to past Silent Hills.

(51/??) think was very intentional. And very curious what this strong "aquatic feature" touches being kinda' subtlety put into these enemy designs is supposed to mean
We're clearly missing some event here. Hinako goes from no weapon, to suddenly having a pipe & missing a shirt sleeve.

(49/??) We are shown a bit how unnaturally these Kashimashis move. I like the wind up where she stands on her tippy-toes of one foot at an impossible slanted angle to make her look almost like she's a puppet on strings, only to slash down quickly thereafter.
See they also can jump

(48/??) initial meetings with this first enemy? It reminds me a bit of how in Silent Hill 2 Remake there were slight variations of some cutscenes depending on how you walked into certain scenes.
Anyways, Hinako is met with this JoJo posing motherfucker & we now get a LOT of gameplay.

(47/??) this seems to be Hinako's first time meeting a Kashimashi, or at least a special scene around it. But then in the last trailer, there was a different but similar "first meeting" seeming scene. Wouldn't it be interesting if you could go a few different ways & have a different

And as may have caught in the little gameplay snippet, Hinako walks through an alley, a bucket seems to be kicked over ahead of her in gameplay, then instaneously the game switches to a cutscene where Hinako is about to meet a Kashimashi.

(44/??) Hinako seem meek, weak, physically frail, more like an expectation of what a teenage female horror protagonist looks like, to eventually grow more into the "warrior" she's becoming through the game.
We now get many gameplay shots, finally. Starting with Hinako walking

(41/??) Hinako's tail, & begin growing everywhere & even shooting off ahead of her. I think we've seen pieces of this scene from the first trailer, the flowers block her off from her friends & she ends up alone ultimately.
We see her come to the Alleys we saw in the first trailer

(40/??) Hinako & Shu run off, Shu letting go of Hinako & running off ahead once she's running off. Hinako shows off she's not the best runner in the world as she falls behind her friends while getting away from the growing pile of flesh. A bunch of flowers begin to spring up on

The trailer starts to pick up here. The soundtrack seems to make use of a lot of guttural singing to great effect in my opinion. We get a lot of shots of various spots in the town of Ebisugaoka which make interesting use of dutch angles &

(32/??) girl walking away, out of focus & obscured. We hear Sakuko let out a small giggle that seems to be relishing in Hinako's sudden discomfort as Sakuko walks out of sight.
Hinako seems disturbed by this, but also that she can't really make out why she feels this way, so she
