Yes, they don’t want affiliation with "extremists" as they say, because it would radically change how they are able to make money, and they’d act sort of as watchdogs. Secondly they’re scared that if we get a voice then their whole scam falls apart.

My dad and grandfathers were part of those coal miner strikes back in SW Pennsylvania. They were rough but they held the line, and eventually the UMWA was able to come in and organize. We can win but it will take a long sustained unified effort.
