The only good thing to come out of 'The Walking Dead: Dead City' is my epiphany at the end of this piece when I realize that Jeffrey Dean Morgan should immediately be cast in a 'Rockford Files' reboot. www.pajiba.com/tv_reviews/i...

My Blue Sky rant about Netflix's hostility towards theatrical releases from a few days ago inspired my latest @pajiba.com piece, thank you to @dustinrowles.bsky.social and the Pajiba crew for publishing it! www.pajiba.com/film_reviews...

Remarkably short-sighted of Kirkland & Ellis, Paul Weiss, Skadden Arps etc. If a company is being sued/prosecuted by the government, why on earth would they hire the firm that caved to the government? It’s like asking the kid who handed over his lunch money to the bully to defend you from the bully.

The reason that AI will never fully replace journalists is that readers will never get the same satisfaction from smugly telling a robot to "be better."

Mainers: The Maine Palestine Film Festival concludes this week. I write about it. @pressherald.com www.pressherald.com/2025/05/26/d...

The nice thing about paying for my own movie tickets and ignoring screeners is that I don't have to listen to what publicists say. What are they going to do? Stop spamming me?

To the shock of nobody, the guy who bragged about eating testicles was a steroid-ravaged scammer. But it does make for a funny (and super gross) Netflix doc. My review is here.

It’s been bothering me all season: how will the show balance Abby’s narrative against Ellie’s? With two episodes left this season, it seems like it won’t… yet

I wrote about the series finale of THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES, how underneath all that vulgarity and wealth there was endless curiosity about the nature of forgiveness, and how the show's satire might have dulled but its hopefulness rose. I'll miss it! @vulture.com: www.vulture.com/article/righ...

From the Maine Director of the ACLU (who is also my wife).

This actually went up on Friday, but to the shock and surprise of everyone who knows me, my soft blogger skin was actually outdoors this weekend. True story, I saw a snake near a waterfall. Nature is trying to kill us. Anyway, yes, I’m doing “Andor” Season 2 recaps for Pajiba. Enjoy!

The show’s changes to the game are starting to pile up, but I think we all could use the breather this episode provides

A film that takes place where you’re from.

to be fair it is kind of funny that this man has his own whole website where he can send the world into chaos by typing some words into a box and he still can’t get anyone who matters to actually sign up for it

'The Pitt' is my favorite show in years, and the thing I look forward to watching most every week. And still, it's probably not quite as good as 'This Is Going to Hurt.' It's a couple of years old, but if you're looking to fill that 'The Pitt'-sized hole in your heart next week, it's tremendous.

re: THE WHITE LOTUS -- I spoke with walton goggins about the lens of spirituality through which he viewed rick hatchett, filming that final episode, and his thoughts on rick and chelsea as a love story transcending all sense of time. SPOILERS, obvi, at @vulture.com: www.vulture.com/article/walt...

I got to talk to Paul Giamatti for his upcoming 'Black Mirror' episode. This exchange, about getting mistaken for Larry the Cable Guy, is probably the hardest I've ever laughed while reading back an interview transcript. www.gq.com/story/paul-g...

Choke on a bag of shit, Elon Musk.

Love Politico's Buzzfeedification of fascism! It just needs more GIFs! Do '10 ways Trump can imprison journalists without political consequences' next!

Calling it a fight against anti-Semitism doesn’t make your fascism noble—it makes it more dangerous. You don’t protect American Jews by turning us into the face of thuggery. You just make us targets.

Kristin Villanueva's reaction shots are the hidden MVP of 'The Pitt.'

And here I thought that accidentally firing the nuclear staff overseeing the country’s weapons stockpile was the most relatable!

I laughed so hard because, even in print, I could hear Billy Bob Thornton's voice in Affleck's recounting of the Armageddon commentary.

Am I the only one who misremembered Tom Everett Scott in “Dead Poets Society”?

Choke in a smoke cloud of your own arrogance, Thiel. pajiba.substack.com/p/the-elite-...

Oh, thank God! I can continue to insist that Eddie Redmayne is Satan's actual shadow without legal repercussions. You hear that, Eddie? You are the Prince of Darkness’s human penumbra! You can't touch me, bro!

'Den of Thieves 2' probably lost money in its theatrical release, so why is it getting another sequel? The 'Wicked' box-office may help explain.

Must read for fans of 'The Pitt' (which should be everyone) and Noah Wyle, who is as cool as you want him to be, from @roxana-hadadi.bsky.social

It is the least sexy way imaginable to fight this Administration, but it could prove effective.

Thompson had a deep mistrust of institutions, but that didn’t make him gullible. He didn’t fall for bullshit; he tore it apart. Rogan, on the other hand, elevates it.

I wrote about THE PITT, bias in health care, and how the show turned that equation around on us with the smartly maneuvered santos vs. langdon showdown. @vulture.com: www.vulture.com/article/the-...

Misty: is a weirdo and a murderer Shauna: incorrectly accuses Misty of being a weirdo and a murderer •this• time

“I believe the movie may be demonstrating a fact of human nature: Most people, most of the time, all over the world, choose to go along.”—Roger Ebert www.rogerebert.com/mzs/red-meat...

At this point, who does the "House Democratic leadership" even represent? Liz Cheney?

But Dear God, that man is handsome.

Governor Mills killing it.

“I just wanna say trans people are beautiful. We are never going to stop existing. I’m never gonna stop being trans, a letter on a passport can’t change that, and fuck this administration.”

Hell yeah, Governor Mills! Speculation is that she might run against Susan Collins in 2026. And unlike Collins, she's willing to stand up to Trump.

"Hey, Dad, did people really dress like this in the 2020s?" "No, sweetheart. That man was very rich and powerful before scientists discovered that ketamine, sleep deprivation, and prolonged exposure to social media could cause profound brain damage." "Oh, bless his heart."

The seething hatred I have for these people. No hell is hot and dark enough.

For every million federal jobs cut, a billionaire’s tax rate drops by 0.25%. Stay strong, Elon!
