Wendell, my three year old, just came racing through the cat door, skunked. There’s a skunk pathway along one side of our house, and sometimes skunk and cat surprise each other. This is Wendell’s fifth time, I think, and we still have a large bottle of Nok Out. Soon is best.

Togetherness. It’s taken two years of effort for Wendell to thaw Blue. Blue is 15 and Wendell 3. Wendell is innovative and so creative in finding ways to show Blue he wants to be close. He just rolls with rejection and discouragement. So open hearted.

My local Metro is asking for customers’ postal codes at the checkout. The register won’t allow the cashier to skip entering this. I don’t really want the grocery store to have my location tied to my credit card and my purchases. Is this happening all over or is it a strange one-off?
