I so loved that book, it's funny to think that high school American History (depending on your state, of course) only barely scratches the surface of what has really happened in this country.
There's plenty to be horrified over, but there is so much to learn from and be better than from there.

Don't believe it Doc, you spent over 8 years in school/practice to learn about the wonder and eccentricities of the human body and all its wonder.
I have a 20-year relationship with my GP because he built up trust, talked to me (and not over me) and most of all, cared for my future, health wise.

The "advertising based media" failed us. Instead of calling out BS - they either "Sane Washed" or ignored the strange, illegal and deplorable from TFG. And don't get me started on Faux News...

Could not agree more, citizenry also involves looking out for others as well as yourself.
I'm not sure where this got lost along the way, but it is so important to raise others up as well as yourself.
