Folks are shocked that their institutions, after professing commitments to climate justice and DEI, are now caving to Trump and scrubbing all references. It's brutal. And it's the smallest taste of what our students felt when their universities called in the cops b/c they protested a genocide.

I worked in an indie for 5 years & this kind of discount is a truly massive deal. Big bookstores can afford deeper discounts for a lot of reasons including getting bigger discounts at source; indies have such slim margins to begin with. Always recommend supporting yours!

If an action is not intended to block, shut down, or stop some form of power in a real sense, it is useless or worse. Boycotts, work stoppages, blocking buildings, MA groups, etc need to be the floor for effective action at this point. Clever signs will not cut it.

Just wanted to remind everyone that TikTok's lawyers were literally not allowed to see the evidence against their client and instead the government's lawyers got to submit private evidence to the judges with private arguments that TikTok's lawyers also weren't allowed to see or respond to.
