Here's a link to some reflection on the "new" Paris, which might offer some prompts for you.

Cambridge centre half baked; several streets which clearly should be pedestrian but are instead a chaotic mix of cars and people (eg Bene't St). Cycling I found ok despite no infra (eg Hills Rd to station)
Still, better than my hometown, which is zero baked.
Try Belgium (Ghent/Antwerp).

An interesting read, the "Waterfront" chapter sent me to RENEW N Staffs and their 2007 "Regeneration Framework" by Arup. Not inspiring. Its only plan a 1:25000 with big blue lines "proposed new highways", just about all the city has become capable of.

Doesn't (attempted) murder/manslaughter already cover it?
What we need less of is "he's a good family man who lives in a cul-de-sac".

Though I fully expect the swerve was to avoid a cyclist who'd just run a red light. Daily Mail says "He's a good family man who lives in a cul-de-sac".

Deliberate or not, driver or car, the house would not have been half demolished had Mr Sykes of Chester not lost his focus.

Good reporting, naming the driver, however surely *he* swerved into the house, not the car

Clearly in this case both cyclists should have stopped, because the driver pays road tax and therefore has greater entitlement etc etc etc.

More like no excuse for not leaving yer engine idling outside the local primary school then.

Looking good.
All that entrance passage needs as a final touch is the return of the concrete cheese plant.

Crossing lights only appear to stop vehicles in tune with the nearest junction lights, so thinking sensors are redundant anyway.

Perhaps the best way to stop it is compulsory economics and politics education for the voting public. Just as anyone in a responsible position needs CPD.

A futile move: Farage will always win the vote of those who dislike foreigners.
