You have shown terrible leadership by failing to find the time to fight Trump, but somehow you are managing to find the time to grift off a book tour. You need to step down and let an actual fighter take your position as minority leader. Nobody wants you in leadership because you suck.

OK I am convinced, everybody needs to post signs like that everywhere. If this sign works to keep JK Rowling away kind of like how garlic works to keep vampires away, then we need that sign posted on every street so that she stays away.

There are a lot of embarrassing pictures of Musk, but I think this may be the one that best illustrates who is running our government. He is the most pathetic cartoon villain ever.

As someone who works with children I can assure you, there are no children who act like Elon Musk or Donald Trump. I have worked closely with some of the most difficult kids in our entire school district, but never once have I met a kid that acts as terribly as Musk or Trump. Never.

The one bright side to all of this is that the more people that Trump pisses off the less people he will have that are willing to implement his agenda.

I don't think that an ad campaign that spends taxpayer money to inflate Trump's ego at the same time that people's basic services are being burned to the ground is going to be as effective as Trump thinks it will be.

You would think that if a CEO actually cared about the company that we are told he runs he would show up and do his job of running the company instead of spending his time mass firing people who actually show up for work.

There have been so many times that I haven't bought something because I didn't feel like going through the hassle of hunting down someone to unlock it for me. I can pretty much guarantee that locking things up prevents more sales than it does thefts.

Two things can be true... 1) This court is hopelessly corrupt and should never be trusted. 2) The corruption is about protecting their own personal and ideological interests more than it is about protecting Trump. It is more likely than people think that they eventually throw Trump under the bus.

But hey, if it wasn't for Google AI I would have never known that we need to eat rocks to improve our digestive health.

Even the CPAC host admits that Twitter is not even worth eight cents these days.

If they don't like what their party is doing then they need to leave the party. If they remain members they are complicit in everything that happens.

We need to stop using the acronym and start spelling it out. It is not DEI, it is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It is easy for people to tear down a grouping of letters, but when they have to explain that they oppose diversity, equity, or inclusion their bigotry becomes clear.
comment in response to post
The same people who tell us that they are getting rid of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion because they want the person "most qualified for the job" were unable to find anyone more qualified than a 19 year old named Big Balls to be in charge of the nation's cybersecurity.

Tear Greenwald apart for pretending to be a free speech advocate while backing Elon Musk at a time that he is threatening reporters with prison.

DOGE has made all kinds of false claims, when you print those lies as headlines you make it clear to everyone that you have zero journalistic credibility.

So you are the reason that Elon Musk hates people who work from home so much.

While I can certainly believe that a weak mind has a bad memory, I don't think his problem is that he forgot that the law says that what he is doing to immigrants is illegal, the problem is he doesn't care.

Holding on to bad incumbents is the reason we lose to MAGA. And no Pelosi is not a progressive at all, much less the original progressive.

The point is that at least a few of the people Trump has protecting him are Putin allies. And it is not just about protecting his safety, but his money as well. Trump would sacrifice this country before he sacrificed his bank account.
comment in response to post
Totally different situation, Zelenskyy has intentionally distanced himself from Putin, Trump has been engaged in financial deals with Putin since well before he even ran for President.
comment in response to post
It is probably true that he would sacrifice his wife and kids, but there is one person he won't sacrifice and that's himself.

Can I also suggest that we finally give equal voting representation to everyone regardless of race? Because of the electoral college and a Senate that gives disproportionate power to small, predominantly white states, to this day white voters still have more electoral power than black voters do.

That entire plate looks disgusting. I think those ugly red things might be tomatoes, but they look like they have been given time to rot before serving.
comment in response to post
Well they definitely have a different worldview, but I struggle to see that they have any values beyond bigotry and greed. I have seen far too many hours of these people spewing hate but I sure don't see them advocating for any good values.

There is a reason that the word Artificial comes before the word Intelligence.

You are thinking in terms of politically damaging information, but let's not forget that both Putin and Trump are not just politicians, they are mob bosses. Kompromot is not just about embarrassing scandals, it can mean life or death.

Not enough people talk about how problematic seniority rules are in Congress. The longer a member of Congress stays in office the more seniority they get which ensures the oldest members are the most powerful, which means that it is very difficult to bring about real changes in leadership.

Their defiance is already clear, the courts can either hold them accountable now or they can be complicit in the downfall of America.

If the Democrats in what was not long ago a fairly reliable blue state somehow managed to lose to the dumbest candidate in history not just once, but twice, maybe that is an indication that the Democratic leadership in the state sucks and we should stop following their bad strategies.

Homer Simpson may not be a smart man, but he is not nearly as stupid as the people running our government. And unlike them, Homer Simpson has a big heart and actually cares about other people, he would objectively be a better President than Trump.

Stop your attacks against a woman who has been subject to decades of extreme misogyny. What you are doing is absolutely disgusting, no woman should have to be dragged through the mud for decades because a powerful man took advantage of her when she was young.

He was the President of the United States she was his 22 year old intern. If you know anything about sexual harassment policy you should know that it is absolutely unacceptable for a person in a supervisory position to have sex with his intern.
comment in response to post
She survived decades of misogynists like you tearing her down while giving the incredibly powerful man who took sexual advantage of his 22 years old intern a free pass.
comment in response to post
Reading many of the comments it is quite clear how partisan hackery can turn people into raging misogynists. Sorry Dems, but when a powerful man takes sexual advantage of his 22 year old intern it is not the intern who you should be pointing the finger at.

Have you by chance noticed that our government is literally being run by criminals? Our entire government is one massive conspiracy theory at this point.

Yes, they have tried to tell us to separate emotion from politics so that we separate basic humanity from politics. If politicians had to feel the pain their policies cause they would probably not vote for such harmful policies

To be honest I have far more trust in Cookie Monster's ability to run a Crumbl bakery than I do in Elon Musk's ability to run our government. We all know that replacing Elon with Cookie Monster would be a massive improvement.

It isn't going to be data that tells us, it will be our own eyes that tell us. By definition a recession happens over a period of time, so even if there is a sudden collapse it will be a few months before it is declared a recession. We will feel things long before they are declared.

Thank you for standing up for your rights and refusing to comply. That takes courage, but the only way we get out of this is if a whole lot of people show courage and refuse to comply.
comment in response to post
Not just Senate confirmation, DOGE does not exist as a government agency so the House needs to vote to establish it as well. Only two Republicans would have to be convinced that they should not throw away their own power of the purse to defeat it.

Whistleblowers who have stories they want to get out should show solidarity with outlets the Trump Administration is trying to shut out as well. Give the big stories to the outlets that Trump hates the most.

Those who refuse to drop the case may well be fired but their reputation will remain intact and they will almost certainly be able to land new jobs very quickly. Those who comply with corrupt orders may keep their job for now, but we will all know they are complicit and when Trump falls they fall.

Is there even such a thing as a Rahm Emanuel fan? The guy has clearly found ways to climb the ladder, but he got to where he is by working the halls of power, not because anyone actually likes him. Nobody is going to tune into CNN to watch a guy that nobody likes.
comment in response to post
He may be a lot smarter than Trump only because Trump is extremely stupid, but let's be clear that Musk is quite dumb himself. Virtually everything that Musk has "accomplished" is an example of him taking credit for the work of someone else much smarter than him.

Stop lying, we have never stood shoulder to shoulder with Republicans. We have always opposed them. You do realize there are more viewpoints in this world than Republicans and Democrats don't you?

We do understand that, that is why we understand that capitalism is by its very nature a bad economic system and we won't allow people like you to gaslight us into pretending it is good.

People absolutely do struggle because of a bad economy, and an economy in which wealth is concentrated at the top is a bad economy. Trickle down economics is a part of the problem.
