That's really dope though! Especially around some cars like those.

Is this one of those Ameri-manga books, or is it just the cover that is drawn differently?
I know that many books by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko got "Americanized" by @darkhorse.com because they thought Western readers would get bothered by seeing Japanese art on the cover.
Oh how times have changed.

I'm really hoping that more manga floppies can make it into dollar bins instead of being jacked up in price based on speculation.
Also, shout out to Dana Lewis and Toren Smith for translating a bunch of early manga that came to the west under Studio Proteus.

That said, was there a specific hat that caught your attention?

We could probably blame a bit of it between military/officers and sports. In a more contemporary sense, marketing.
If you want a blank hat, you may be able to order one from here.

Love this, and how it's also an indirect ref to Dilla.

Thank you! 🙏
In the moment, I wasn't sure, but as it finally wrapped up and I could take a step back from working on it, I was pretty stoked.

You are correct. Master Roshi baked that into part of the training that Goku and Krillin got as kids.
I wouldn't be surprised if he did lose a bit of literacy over the years, but not a dramatic amount.

Technically, yes. Toriyama established this pretty early on.

Back in 2014, I was doing some research on making my own manga, and ended up spending a few days at my local library. They had a solid collection of manga to look through, and I still have my note from those days.
I definitely need to visit my current local library.

I think that could be a great opportunity @viz.com to work with the @amlibraryassoc.bsky.social to help support and promote local libraries, especially in communities that need the support the most.
Everyone deserves to have access to amazing books!

Hey @viz.com , what should people do if their local library doesn't have a lot of manga? 🤔
Are there ways people can support their local library to get more books? 🔍
What would VIZ do to help local libraries who are underfunded and need support? 🤷♂️
VIZ could make a big difference! ❤️📚

I'm excited for this exchange to end up in one of the comic strips somehow.

I've done this so many times. I've also had friends take photos of me when I needed both hands and a dynamic angle. 📸
Shout out to my friend who lent me his pan lid so I could use it as reference for how someone would be holding a film reel. 🎞️

Hey @flashesapp.bsky.social , big question:
Will this app have an anti-generative-Ai policy as part of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy?
A big reason I left IG and Twitter to come to @bsky.app was because of their anti-gen-Ai policies.
Will you also echo that?

A lot of people I find are tired of social media in general.
I don't blame them, especially with how the last week went. A lot of people I know are getting away from FB, Twitter, closing their IG, uninstalling Tiktok, etc., and trying to escape with Youtube and such.
Still, Bluesky has potential!

I think a lot of people are still too cozy on IG and Tiktok, but give it time and it will change. Plus, word is Bluesky is making a IG alternative.
As along as @bsky.app keeps that anti-generative-Ai policy in place, I'm down to try it, but rather focus on here for now.

The more we encourage people to migrate to Bluesky, the more effective promotions will be on here.
I only share links to my Bluesky posts on discord, and typically only share links to my blog, Patreon, or Bluesky account in IG stories. Plus FB is dead and Twitter is too toxic.

Isn't it nice when something that's been building up for a while finally has the chance to get put on the page and it just comes out smoothly enough that it feels natural?

Are you going to use better paper than your current editions? Haven't been a fan of the blue white book paper lately for your reprints.
You know, if you're still printing in North America, there is a paper company that can still make that good manga paper if you help your printer put in the order.

Looks like CDJapan is offering the book at a competitive rate to Amazon at the moment. Been ages since I've bought from there, but may be worth putting my money towards Amazon alternatives again.

I did have fun with this, but certainly was more than I initially bargained for, in a good way.
