I think one of the virtues of games as an art form is that with most mediums, those endless hobby projects you spend decades tinkering with with no finished state in mind are obliged to be private affairs, but with games you can share your work and confuse the hell out of people any time you want.

Hey Bluesky. Need to make a little map? Here's a 4(ish) step way to do that with Affinity Designer. Using the node tool to make the town, the vector brush tool to draw 'roads', and the shape builder tool, to create little pockets in town you can color to highlight important areas. alt for details.
