The many faces of derpcat.

"Here's your annual property taxes bill" >Pay it Why can't all taxes be like this -_- (Also looking at the distribution of what the taxes are used for, >50% goes to schools which is not something *I* personally will use, so the whining about Childless Cat Ladies not contributing to society can GTFO)

When you're lying in bed reading and there is a sudden weight on your leg.

Also walked past a huge street protest at the local swasticar dealership yesterday.

...yes thank you very informative I'm sure.

1. Try to go to Bellevue 2. Park where I usually park seemed to be holding some event, no parking 3. Turn around and go to Technology Center light rail station, park and take the light rail Station parking on the weekend seems quite uncrowded and the trains are clean and comfortable.

The good part: international unity against an evil empire. The bad part: you live in the evil empire.

Today on "turn off this "feature" to get rid of ads" (Apparently this thing causes obnoxious popup ads *on your Windows PC* for XBox Game Pass, I do not own an XBox and will never use a game subscription service)

Was behind a car that said "Do you follow Jesus this close?" on the bumper and was kinda wondering whether it's a declaration that pagans may not drive behind them? Possibly it's meant to be some catty tell-off for tailgating but as people will end up in legible distance if ever you're stopped >>

Pretty much all of the update phases have "UI updates" so it looks like they definitely got the message that UI is probably one of the weakest points of the game atm.

>Hey what day do we want to go into the office this week? >Sushi day! 🍣

www.konami.com/games/suikod... Apparently there's a remaster of Suikoden 1 and 2. This is one of those classics series that kinda fizzled out of ideas as they produced more and more sequels but the first one was quite solid. I also played it back when I wasn't that proficient in Japanese and >>

Apparently there's some sort of "economic blackout" protest event tomorrow, where people are asked to avoid buying fast food and from major retailers but, as someone whose buys something non-food, books, or video games once every few months this isn't going to make much of a statement.

The bit where you're translating a self-introductions list and people start talking about their 推し 😶

Word of the day: quantization (量子化) In the context of image processing, this means to compress a continuous range of values into discrete values so that, eg., you can display a complex image on a device that only supports a limited color range.

Today's weird dream: Back yard taken over by obnoxious development company who wanted to... farm wildebeest and leopards on it. Obviously we can't let the cats out.

Since I was telling this story to the Frosthaven group, the Pathfinder WotR scene where I dealt with a bugged boss by precasting five gazillion copies of Blade Barrier under where it would spawn (the bones in yellow are the remains of the boss), nearly blinding myself with the stacked glow.

What to do with leftover ham (frozen since Thanksgiving) turned out to be a very tasty split pea soup.

acoup.blog/2021/04/30/c... "Video games from the POV of a historian" articles are always fun to read. Don't play this particular series but the question of how to simulate historical factors in a game and still have a coherent game is messy and complicated.

Yesterday: Cat maintenance Today: Car maintenance However, it turns out that the scheduling system that monitors these things is wrong because I don't drive enough to need maintenance that often. But since I'm here in the unusual-for-me part of town anyway we may as do the usual, which is >>

>Hey the zipper on one of my robes is popping open sometimes maybe I should get a backup in cases it breaks entirely? >Find basically the same robe >Blue again? The ones you have are also blue >I like blue And this is how you become one of those weird people with a wardrobe full of identical items.

Cat maintenance, as it turns out, is quite expensive 🐈🐈

Not sure if this is the oldest book I own ("old" as in age of the paper not publishing date) but probably fairly close. Discworld is definitely one of the series worth rereading.

"Oh didn't I draw something about Pathfinder and Baleful Polymorph?" >Yes, actually Just like angels, greater demons are not immune to polymorph either.
