I'll be home for the rest of the day so if they'll send a delivery notification I can bring it indoors for you?

Switch 1 was a touch screen too, just I'm not sure you want to play Civ on a screen that size.

As for what you do with the old console, if you do System Transfer via local Bluetooth your old data stays there. If you play games that use weird accessories like Ring Fit the new controllers don't fit into the old accessories so you have to keep playing on the old console.

and SMTV (like III) is very much NOT that because you deal with the weird demons all the time and the humans are a side show. *I* love it because it's unusual but it's a hard sell to people who want the Persona experience.

I feel like it drops the ball a little in the last 15% or so (after Ueno things get a bit rushed) and some of the routes make little narrative sense but it's otherwise an amazing game. Just that the default RPG style is you have a party of Quirky [tm] characters and the drama revolves around them, >

The actual threat to society is people who believe this, think it's a good thing, and then cause a bunch of disasters trying to make it happen with technology that doesn't work. Hopefully *those* people will end up in jail.

The games I really want for this are SMTV and Hades, though of course I'll be getting the Hades sequel when that comes out. SMTV in particular is probably my favorite game on this platform, though the reasons I like it are exactly why it's a niche game I wouldn't recommend to a general audience.

While I'm getting this on day one (-1 actually) for personal reasons I don't actually have a game I really want to play on it right now; most of what I want are upgrade packs for existing Switch games, which are DLC that upgrade the older game to utilize the better specs and features.

Well I don't imagine she's browsing Etsy or has her own money right now I mean :P But is that like a banner ad on some other site? When I go to Etsy its Father's Day suggestions are much more vanilla and sane.

As a dad, would you be freaked out if your daughter gave you a present like this when she gets older?

System frustrations aside (a. I have no sense of direction and am constantly horribly lost and b. I suck at QTEs) the rest of this game is charming and pretty and feels the same kind of "artsy" as Okami and the characters are refreshingly not-trope-y.

Man all I got were dreams of losing my luggage at the airport. I feel gipped.

It's a good reason for selecting an unusual color of car I suppose. Melon aside given their safety record I think I'm safe from ever wanting to drive a Tesla.

Is it a tradition for you guys to have a book cake for major releases? 🍰

And since we keep finding money I assume we'll run into a shopkeeper in the monster-infested postapocalyptic wasteland any minute now.

in the context of the story. Also the QTE stuff is largely non-mandatory because there's very little in the way of field upkeep and you can retry infinitely after dying but it is necessary, at least at early levels, to beat optional bosses.

a bit like playing Persona 5, as in there's a lot of little details and polish (at least in the early parts of the game) that don't NEED to be included but are anyway, like UI, animations, etc. Eg. the battle-end screen says "We Continue" rather than "OK" or just "Press A" and that means something >

Also while the standard JP キノコ is usually beech mushrooms or shiitake, when written as マッシュルーム it normally refers to the supermarket button mushrooms.

retrying involved if you don't catch on fast enough.

Also the combat QTE stuff produces the action game equivalent of Megaten trial and error combat - it's difficult to tell what frame you're supposed to be dodging on when you see an enemy attack for the first time so you have to sorta figure it out as you're being punched in the face so there's >>

Also on "Epic" settings it actually gives my video card (RTX 4080) a bit of a workout; system requirements/compatibility is the main reason why I prefer to play high-end games on console because it's guaranteed to be optimized for that, but I did pay out the nose for a premium gaming rig so.

stereotype is artsy, elegant, and melancholy and that's your game theme then leaning on that is totally fair.

Interesting decision to put the player character slightly off to one side so you can see the scenery better, unlike the standard centered UI for this kind of view. Also agree with friend who said it's so French that you expect the characters to break out baguettes in combat - like if your cultural >

Is this the lowest difficulty? Or can you get away with just doing dodge on the medium one?

(The thing that actually convinced me to make the purchase was seeing the in-field gameplay and that most of the environments seem to not be Realistically Green-Brown [tm], which is an aesthetic I have a real hard time with but seems default to realistic graphics styles)

Confirm/Cancel buttons despite lack of button mapping in-game; the standard Western config scheme with Confirm on the bottom and Cancel on the right drives me up the wall and is another reason I prefer Switch and never got a PS5, decades of muscle memory make me constantly screw up menus.
