I keep wondering and think is it better to see him as more of a historian nowadays rather than a proper journalist? Might just be me, his hit and miss record as of late kinda makes me look at him that way instead.

His taste in women’s matches falls mainly in AJW in the 80s, his bar is set on those matches.

Best way for it, Rob!

Easy to see that tbf, I just see it as interesting to look back at his ratings in the 80s/90s wrestling and take it from there, as I say it’s just his own opinion.

I think what gets me is people being so riled up by his ratings. You do not have to get serious about a man’s ratings on what he wants from wrestling, it’s a guide, you can disagree and have your own rating.

You’ve hit the nail on the head in the second bit. They trust him when it fits their agenda, they don’t trust him when it’s against their agenda and people still go on about his ratings and then present them as gospel to prove again their agenda, it’s his own ratings, not gospel.

An excellent episode, remember it was heavily hyped as a “Drop The Dead Donkey” reunion.
