Not sure I want to go down this road…

I think the problem with this analogy might be that SUVs have become wildly popular and pretty much taken over American roads.

What a great thought. Tho almost all the Fed employees I know are ardently non-partisan, often as part of their professional ethics. I think this wouldn’t even occur to most of them.

Was going to say this. If you need micro data, CES validates survey respondents answers on voting by checking voter rolls. Also beware CPS voter supplement weights are not representative if you’re interested in race. If you want paper link lmk.

It’s hard to exaggerate the stakes. By standing up in large numbers to defend federal workers and their services, we can isolate and eventually defeat Musk and Trump. If we don’t, we could be living with the consequences for a long, long time to come. www.thenation.com/article/poli...

DOGE is not a govt efficiency project. Firing 1 in 4 fed employees would cut govt spending by 1%. DOGE is a political control project. Firing and terrorizing public employees is a means to weakening state regulation & strengthening a personalist presidency donmoynihan.substack.com/p/doge-misma...

Always a pleasure to give back a bit to academics whose work I admire and learned a lot from! ;-) If you can, please post about how it went.
