That is some really cool inspiration, I'll have to hunt this out and give it a watch. Thanks!

No apologies needed for such lovely models! Mate they're fantastic. Do you use the Imperial Skies rules for gaming?

Ah that's a real shame, the airship stuff did catch my eye actually, I might have to try some of those. Agreed it was barely a day between order and arrival, it certainly won't be my last order anyway! Got any pics of your airships?

Nice - that's exactly what these are going to be for (although I'm sure they'll be pressed into service on the odd 40K ship too)

I did have to search to find some examples as I haven't seen that - but now I have I know what you mean, that would look really cool. This was an interesting article: www.theguardian.com/film/2018/au...

Hoping to build up a collection so I can easily make up a bridge, engine room, med bay, etc. for a range of scenarios.

Really nice aren't they? Perfect scatter terrain.

Now that's a genius idea

I would love to see it, and the Heresy era does have some great opportunities for games. It would be a shame to lose Eldar and Ork fleets in that case though!

I might have to have a go at something like that, sounds like a good summer project for me!

They look incredible mate, perfect paint jobs. And lovely photos too!

I've also got a Space Marines fleet sitting ready for painting, I just couldn't resist those sculpts!

I've been on the lookout for a Space Hulk, or thinking about converting one. Sounds like a great game, what fleet did you have?
comment in response to

Me too. I would love to see what a refreshed range of plastic kits and terrain might look like nowadays.

Brilliant! Can't wait to see the Tau fleet grow. It's a great range isn't it. I had a box arrive from Scourge today, can't wait to get home and check them out...

Thanks mate!

Here's Phoebe hoping you both get well soon!

What you're not seeing is the pace I'm adding to the backlog at the same time!

Thanks! Always enjoy a good heavy weapons squad...

Agreed... although I also like a good tank too!

I do have some of those for the Krieg (based on the MG08/15 rather than the Chauchat) but never thought of it for Space Marines before! I'll get some pictures when I'm home.

Blimey that's a lot of firepower. I remember you saying you were nearing two hundred marines haha

I don't think I did, just not a fan personally. I think it takes away from the utilitarian look of the Mk III, it almost looks too decorative in my opinion.

Oh now that is a genius idea. A three-person weapons team, one with binoculars, one carrying ammo, and another firing. Maybe with a bipod. I might have a go at that for my Iron Warriors if you don't mind me borrowing that idea!

Nice! How many have you got in total? I'm thinking of another ten for these Space Wolves. Or maybe missile launchers.

Top-loading sickle mags are my favourite (like on the new Krieg heavy stubbers), but to be fair not sure how that would work on a carried weapon like this!

It's great, isn't it! Peak Warhammer. Can't wait to see how lucky a model it actually turns out to be when I get it on the table...

I'd love to take part if there are any spots open, I love naval wargames and they work really well by email. Happy to play in whatever spot you need!

Haha fair enough, having grown up there there's no distance I wouldn't drive for a proper Lincolnshire sausage!

If it's any help, I used to live in Sleaford and the Sausage Shop is absolutely worth a visit!

I should have green stuffed a toupée for the colonel out of green stuff!

It was actually quicker than that, they were mostly done by yesterday lunchtime! It's basically just the metallics, the red, and the bone which makes it so easy to do! Thanks mate, I think I'll definitely be expanding these to twenty.

Looking good mate, can't go wrong with twin siege claws! Leviathan is definitely my favourite, this is a Night Lords one I did complete with cowering civilian on the base...

The Apraxian Fusiliers are the ones whose mums DO use new biological biz washing powder!

Ah right that would require quite a big warp jump! Thanks very much mate and definitely more fleets will follow...

Thanks very much! The first of many I hope, definitely want to get an Ork fleet as well.

Thank you very much! Yes I was impressed by how much they match them, lots of 3D versions I've seen have played it safe and left off the fine detail, but these seem to have every last macro cannon and piece of trim

Well if you're ever in the North East I can set up a game! I go to Tactic North East in Sunderland once a month usually.

Thanks so much mate. I found it helped me decide when I went for a theme linked to my Heresy army, and just painted them the same as my Marines!

Thanks mate, I really enjoyed this. It was always one of my favourite games but I never had enough models for a decent sized game.
