Extremely funny that the name of the wizard school in Wicked is “Shiz.”

An alarmingly high number of my typos involve accidentally adding an R somewhere in the middle of a word that doesn't need it. So, read aloud, most of my mistakes make me sound like Dr. Steve Brule.

On reddit, some dude was like "You guys are delusional about Elon, this whole website it just leftist propaganda and you're all morons" so I clicked on his post history and he had dozens of comments about how Jesus Christ was actually an alien from another dimension.

democrats won’t admit it, but my family’s economic outlook has gotten a LOT better since Trump took office. but what do i know? i don’t have a fancy economics degree, i’m just a regular guy who runs an airplane scrapyard

Watching SNL 50 and Mulaney’s got like a Robert Z’dar thing going on

I think this phenomenon extends outside of religion to all conservative “thought” - if they are learning/thinking about it for the first time, it must mean nobody else has ever learned/thought about it either.

Kansas City has as many points as Elon Musk has children who love him.

I don’t watch football anymore, but Go Birds

THE SUBSTANCE is a bold science fiction film that dares to imagine: what if LA were walkable

We are truly in the deepest possible shit as a country right now.

This is where the legacy media’s “both sides” tap dance has gotten them

hope the tardigrades on the moon are having a good time

We're finally dismantling the federal government! Sure hope it doesn't serve essential functions that I've taken for granted my whole life

"[A] democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is Fascism—ownership of Government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power." - FDR (1938)

The Substance was the most repulsive movie-watching experience I have ever had. There is no close second.

If I knew Hercule Poirot was in town, I would simply wait until he leaves to murder someone.

Pretty good Baseball HOF class. Gotta find that one guy that didn't vote for Ichiro though, and run him out of town on a rail.

Saying "Lincoln was a Republican" is like saying “Kevin Spacey won an Oscar.” Technically it’s true, but a lot of shit has happened since then

I keep getting this ad for a hair growth treatment and the guy in the commercial says "Not a single hour in the day would pass without me thinking about my hair thinning" and brother, that is the saddest shit I have ever heard. You don't need hair, you need therapy.

The joy of a new office chair

Bob Uecker and David Lynch on the same day is crazy. RIP to two all-time weirdo artists.

gop spent years hounding big tech and now big tech is kissing their ass. just like they spent years attacking the media and the media caved in. meanwhile its like pulling teeth to get the democratic party to attack anyone but the folks to their left.

Being a “conservative intellectual” must rule so much. There’s this giant mass of babies that are scared of cities, mad at cartoons, and intimidated by women, and your job is to convince them having those feelings makes them brave warriors for western civilization

remarkable to me that far from seeming cool or masculine zuck seems like an even bigger loser — the kind of nerd who preemptively gives his lunch money to the bully and thanks him for the opportunity

It is the winter of 2024-25 and I have become a Big Puffy Vest Guy

Streaming in 2010: You can watch an entire catalog of amazing movies and TV shows for a reasonable monthly fee Streaming in 2025: our library is Batman movies and 28 seasons of a Tim Allen sitcom, it costs $159/month. We just destroyed the last piece of evidence that Mister Rogers ever existed

I just saw a skeet that said DoorDash and the like are essential services to them because they have adhd, and I feel like I have to ask: what are we doing here folks?

The discussion about Doordash right now turns out to be a grim illustration of Silicon Valley's disruption business model: roll out a new service that operates at a loss on a huge pool of venture capital, starve all existing alternatives, create a monopoly that feels "essential," crank up prices

We @baseballprospectus.com don't often post on the weekends, but when it comes to one of the all-time greats you make an exception. This one was very personal for me. www.baseballprospectus.com/news/article...
