I love taking photos, both film and digital. I'm especially interested in street photography.

Love your photographic style! It's truly amazing. My preference is to shoot what others don'tโfinding meaning in overlooked subjects. So my photos aren't "clean" or "pretty"; they're often raw and worn. My dream is to capture the beauty in the grimy. โบ๏ธ

Came across this sudden old house in the city. As someone from Hokkaido, we don't have these kinds of traditional homes, so I always find myself taking photos of them!

This pic is from an underground mall. I was focused on getting the framing perfectly level when I heard footsteps from beyond those yellow lights. Snapped it just in time before someone appeared right after!

Thanks! To be honest, it was so dark at the location that I really struggled to focus with my rangefinder. ๐

This is also a backstreet in Nagoya. It's amazing how you can find such "shibui" (ๆธใ - tastefully rustic/subdued) alleys just one block off the main streets, even in a big city. My goal is to capture them before they disappear.

Thanks so much for your comment! Your words truly mean a lot to me. I actually hesitated to post this one since it's an easily photographable subject. While it might have fewer likes than my other photos, your comment alone made my day. Grateful! โบ๏ธ

Thanks as always! This is a tree in a small park here in Nagoya. It's a really impressive tree, especially for a city park!

Thanks! This is a backstreet in central Nagoya. I love exploring alleys, so I'll be sure to find more great spots! ๐

Wow, I'm honored that my posts are a topic of conversation for you and your husband!
All the color photos I post are taken with a LOMO 32mm lens. The X Half's 32mm focal length, nestled between 28mm and 35mm, offers an easy-to-use angle of view, much like a disposable or toy camera.

Thank you for your comment! โจ It's true, 32mm is a pretty rare focal length for a lens. What's really interesting is that the X Half has the exact same focal length as both the "Utsurundesu" (disposable camera) and the LOMO LC-A's lens!

That's awesome! "This Year's Girl" is still on heavy rotation for me, often playing while I'm exploring the city with my camera.

Oh, wow! Pizzicato Five was my absolute favorite artist back in the day, and I still listen to their music at least once a week.

Amazing how well this photo captures the essence of the LOMO LC-A's Minitar-1 32mm f/2.8!
I think you'd achieve a similar look with new Fujifilm 400. Eager to see your next LOMO photos!

Totally get that feeling. I battle it all the time. My mindset is usually, "just do your best," or sometimes, "this is my mark on the world." It really speaks to your passion for growth as a creator, @Hozu!

I always find myself drawn to grimy walls. When I'm shooting up close, people sometimes give me weird looks or ask, "Is there something special there?" ๐

Thanks for the insightful comment!
I hadn't realized my obsession with vertical lines in public spaces until you pointed it out.
While I wasn't consciously aware, perhaps I'm metaphorically seeking a certain "Japaneseness" within the textures and feel of modern Japanese architecture.

I totally get it! That emotional connection you feel, almost like the car is alive and you're having a conversation as you driveโthat's the essence of Alfa Romeo, isn't it?
My 2021 Giulia has analog gauges, but it's a bit of a shame that the latest models have switched to digital screens.

Just read your note! I totally agree about the joy of posting photos on Bluesky. ๐ I've left X, I hope to continue sharing photos casually.
Also, like you mentioned in your note, Bluesky has many users from outside Japan, so I try to take photos that people from other countries might enjoy.

Oh, I know EXACTLY what you mean! I've got a Giulia and a BMW 3 Touring now, but the Alfa just hits different when it comes to fun, right? ๐
Fun fact: Before these, I had two Alfa 147s at the same time โ one for daily, one garaged. Identical color and spec. Seeing them side-by-side was pure joy! โค๏ธ

So appreciate your lovely comment! I don't usually overthink my shots, but shooting with film means I always aim to capture each moment thoughtfully.
