They aren’t always pure ick sometimes they are mixed with a good heap of silly. Like Jesse Waters on Fox who has said it isn’t masculine to eat soup in public or drink a shake with a straw!

It doesn’t reek of totalitarianism— it is totalitarianism! What answers are you looking for? You already know all you need, what are you going to do about it?

I don’t understand why he mentions metaphors when talking about vomit. There is no metaphor involved, the root of vomit means to discharge or spew — it is used properly (non-metaphorically) by the Romans and it’s use to describe throwing up is also non-metaphorical.

What a total idiot. Never has “intelligence” been so misused in someone’s job title.

Sure, different but still paid by homeowners. Without a major tax realignment (where others taxes are removed) adding a new tax to middle class homeowners (esp in major cities where density drives up land value) — seems counterproductive.

The UBI being based on land value taxes makes it a hard no for me. Property taxes used to fund both education and UBI is not workable in my opinion.

If it’s anything like Chicago, many buildings that included an extra house (two flats, in-law apts., etc.) have been converted to full single family homes to accommodate our pref for more space. Also, short term rentals reduce capacity as well.

I am not sure how much of an impact it had, but I always suspected that before Ukraine, Russian was coasting on its reputation while corruption ate away at its military abilities — I think that reputation has already been shattered, but it feels street cred is their only goal left.

In 2016, Peter Hotez warned about the anti-vax movement and growing number of vaccine exemptions in Texas.
He cited Gaines County as his first area of concern for measles.
In 2025, Gaines county has reported 55% of the 738 Texas measles cases.

Yes, but … try viewing this from the mask-wearing culture of Asia, where before COVID wearing a mask was something you did when you are sick so you don’t spread to others.

I am assuming even as a government publication, they expect to charge a lot, so the public doesn’t have access to it either.

This reminds of when a publisher puts “this page intentionally left blank” on a page. In other words the statement disproves itself.

This feels odd to me. I would have sworn this has always been a phrase since before I remember — but I also remember seeing Ghostbusters in the theater.

Whatever you do, don’t let children or other insane people flush wipes — or you will have a new HOT AND SEXY (and expensive) purchase, like I did about a month after getting a new one. Fun times.

But what of Trump’s claim that “grocery” is an old word and that he is making it more popular again.
