back in the mid 80's I had a client who worked for a big pharma lobbyist - we met a few times to discuss my artwork, (he wanted a few "embellishments", and I was still taking commissions). Every meeting was right outa "Madmen", after 1 [serious] drink he would rant on about their big plans/methods.

her outfit almost reminds me of how our Kellyanne would wrap up for her occasional "brine soaks" back in the day - aside from the obvious, is there a connection?

I am so sick of people cheating artists - (as a static artist myself, I am very familiar with being cheated).

2/2 ... I soon learned to close the door and use that light to examine the secured books. I poured over my favorite sections so much, that, without any intention of doing so, I one day began to spontaneously "hear" the texts, and reading happened on it's own, un-encouraged, without introduction

isn't coffee just grand? I just returned from two weeks in Cafè con Leche land, the gal at our fave sidewalk cafe had us pegged on day three, when she greeted me at the counter with "dos con leche, cariño?"

I met her the first time, years ago (about 1985-ish or so), at Eastern Market, where she stopped to admire one of my pieces that a friend had on display at the weekend farmers' market - "the artist happens to be right here" - it was a very strained moment, I came away just a little shocked. Oh well.

- books began speaking to me spontaneously, at a very young age. - I follow the convention now in calling it "reading", but, the event that day remains a profoundly magical event in my life.

I hope you'll stay in touch with us, on any of these platforms or in paper letters - the trip was busy (a bit of red tape was encountered and dealt with successfully) but fun, nice experiences with nice people, in contrast with ho-hum VT with dry cranky people.

I'll spend Arbor Day, coaxing my ornamental Pear Tree cuttings to root successfully - I asked my neighbor to help me snip them from the parent tree. "Why?", he asked from his branch. I pointed it out as if it should have been totally obvious to him, and said, "Dude, your surname is Partridge, k?
