That or how your state handles controlled substances (or other drug-types).
You may need to take a stage approach: find a job that has heath benefits so you can work out you medication issue, and then go after that ideal job.

This language of this tip is a reminder that folks often have a network/community that they are part of but don't maintain and how that network/community can help them during a job search. My other comments were fueled by recent personal experiences.

Just know things will be chaotic with US hiring and employment for awhile. All Federal contractors (which are more companies than you would imagine) are figuring out what this change means, if the situation will shift again in the near-term, and what it may look like in the long-term.

This opens up the question of race and gender-based discrimination (adverse impact, adverse treatment) as a Federal-level policy. This could deffer such oversight to the state gov't level (e.g., state law, policy, case law).

I am speaking about rescinding Executive Order 11246, which is the backbone of affirmative action and the powers possessed by the OFCCP.
VEVRAA, Title VII, ADA, Section 503, and others are still in play, but the state of the OFCCP is ??? at the moment given the EO 11246 shake up.
