Sadly with the examples being set, and things like decapitation of NLRB, we will see more of this

It the stuff of nightmares every night right now. And sadly the number of people that actually see it, and are alright with it.

I suppose that’s one of the reasons for the EO. Give them an imaginary loophole, if nothing else.
At the end of the day, one either has character, or doesn’t.
Everyone wants to think they’ve got what it takes. Very few do.
Most just shrug it off and go through the motions.

Yeah. Which is why there’s no time to wait.
There is no red line that needs to be crossed.
I have a hard time believing anything less than a counter coup will work. There will be no more elections. There are no courts of law with independent authority left.
No checks.
No balance.
Freefall.

Very true, we would all like to think we would take the high ground in situations like this, but until you actually have to stand up and be counted, talk is easy. History is a good teacher of the failings of human nature in those circumstances.

and sadly i also think the end result, those that would not blindly follow orders will leave, and you are left with a military that will do whatever he asks, which is the end goal anyway.

I think part of what they are also struggling with is the EO that states only Trump and the AG can interpret the legality of Trumps orders. Technically that means no order he gives them is breaking the law. (yes that does turn into the classic 'i was only following orders', not defending it)

I expect we will be seeing more and more of this, the model is being set. Recommended practice to keep all your performance reviews stored locally somewhere, you may need them when you are released for 'poor performance'

What I also found abhorent about his little chainsaw display, he was gleefully celebrating laying off thousands of federal workers. Even most businesses at least pretend to be remorseful about letting people go, they don't go around celebrating (at least publicly) that they are destroying lives

Especially given one of the imperial decrees states only the president and attorney General can interpret the legality of his decrees
