I'm trying to think if there's anything else similar. I've heard RDR2 has wildlife-related stuff. there's one for bugs called Bug & Seek. Birdfull, maybe? I think that's more in line with Neko Atsume.

you know there are a few birding-related games on Steam (demos for now but iirc the games are coming out this year). Birding Simulator and Bird Watching Simulator. there's also Alba, which is one sale right now for less than $5!
