Oh yeah? Well Louisiana and Alabama’s GDPs just passed Kazakhstan’s. Compete with that.

Old asshole. Sunglasses. Front seat of a car. Lying to make the administration look better (millions not billions). Yeah, it checks out.

Exactly. Most Dems will defend blue areas, but what they don't get is that you have to simultaneously trash red areas (which should be easy since so many of them are festering shit holes). Without it it's just empty numbers and explanation. The conflict is in the attack.

You can bet everyone on the Union side that saw their brother's killed by a Confederate thought they were evil the minute it happened.

Pretty sure that happened 160 years ago, not 10 years ago

No one's asking anyone to vote for him for anything. The only ask is that you support him when he fights back against the administration, otherwise you're giving cover to cowards like Schumer who've calculated that they won't have enough support if they follow suit.

Exactly. The left has a really bad habit of expecting perfection. No one's going to grab the reigns of leadership if they're not ambitious, that's just a part of the equation. And it should be praised if we want it to continue and spread.

True but they’re not going to so it’s incumbent on Dems politicians to use their microphone to fill in the blanks.

What the fuck is a non-neutral stance on the LA wildfires? Is there a pro-wildfire contingent out there?

If you believe that waving an American flag is somehow a capitulation to Republicans then you're a fucking loser.
comment in response to

Ha. And now we're onto childish lashing out. Fucking dumbass.
comment in response to

No shit I’m not their boss dude. The OP even says “wave whatever flag you want”. The point is it’s more effective to wave an American flag. Let me ask you this, what’s the goal of the protest?
comment in response to
post
Shitty. That was shitty optics, which is one of a thousand reasons why nearly everyone turned on the J6 traitors initially. And yet still better optics than if they would’ve beaten cops with Israeli flags.
comment in response to
post
I’m not concerned about people getting upset over a flag. I’m concerned about maximizing the effectiveness of a protest to accomplish the goals that the protesters are trying to achieve.

Protests are 100% won on style points. Unless your goal is literally for these protestors to win in combat against law enforcement, which Jesus I hope it's not, then the entire goal is to win on style points and rally consensus across the country.
comment in response to
post
No one's saying it's not reasonable. He's saying it's not smart because the entire point of a protest is to rally consensus and the American flag obviously rallies consensus in America much better than the Mexican flag. No idea why anyone would push back on this.
comment in response to
post
Who said it wasn't allowed? He said it's not smart if your goal it to gain support from Americans, which it absolutely is.

Huh? Now you're just talking nonsense. Why don't Dems "think Musk's Epstein file claim is real"? They were best friends according to Epstein, Trump is on the flight logs, and a woman already claimed the two of them raped her when she was 13? Extremely weird take.

When you have millions of constituents all saying different things and thousands of subgroups made up of constituents who are contradicting each other, then you either follow some polls/analytics/consultants or you follow your instincts.Anyway you play it someone's pissed but instincts plays better.

True but holy shit, is there not one freaking famous actor that wants to take one for the team on the left? I know their lives are really comfortable but you'd think the law of averages would've given us a President Clooney by now.

The wild part is that 99% of actual actors are Democrats but 99% of actor politicians are Republicans.

Aside from the fact that Jackson ran 20 years before '06, he never even made it to the general, so we had no basis for comparison. We literally do in the case of Dem women. They were 2 of our last 3 nominees. They lost. And a man, who wasn't even a particularly amazing candidate, won between them.

Big, Ugly Bill rolls off the tongue easier than Big, Beautiful Bill too. The key is repeating it another thousand times. Dems have to stick with it. Say it so much that a Rep accidentally let's it slip when trying to defend it.

I haven't decided anything. The elections decided it. We've had 5 of them since '08. Dem men are 3/3, Dem women are 0/2.

Politics is built on simple narratives. Impressions are guttural. Women don't project strength like men do. Doesn't mean they're not strong, obviously they are, but that's how people read them. And when ur a party that already has a tough time projecting strength, it's an impossible hurdle to clear.

It is what it is. That's the system we elect Presidents in. It sucks but it's not changing, so it has to be accounted for.

But Trump rewrote NAFTA, it went into effect, nothing got better for those same people in the rust belt and then they re-elected him with even higher numbers.

I'm not sure what you mean. You mean we don't need to pick a person with a known last name? Or the initially popular figure?
comment in response to
post
We do need to find a Trump to run, if by Trump you mean an attention whore who never shuts up and projects strength (inexplicably in Trump's case since in reality he's the most sensitive coward we've ever elected). Of course that person can't be a fascist like Trump, but messaging-wise, absolutely.

Al Gore was before John Kerry. Since 2004, we've had 5 elections, 3 male candidates, 2 female candidates. Males are 3/3, females are 0/2.
comment in response to

A male Dem nominee hasn't lost the general since John Kerry. 21 years. It'll be 24 by the next election. You can come up with all the caveats you want, but those are the facts. I don't think it's right or just that a Dem woman can't win but a Dem woman can't win. Not in this environment.

Hilary lost and was the wife of a guy who won...twice. Kamala lost and was the VP of a guy who beat Trump. There's a pattern here. If you can't see it, I don't know what to tell you.
