Most likely from the Omarama Gliding Club; excellent soaring conditions around there which allow trips out to Mount Cook (Aoraki). I did have ideas about flying from there in my younger, gliding days.

If you are getting into 1/2 marathons and havenā€™t already done one, I can recommend the Great North Run. Iā€™m probably biased, as Iā€™m from that area but itā€™s a great event and finishing in South Shields on the coast is fun

longer notice, a lot of people would have walked away in that time period. I can see both sides of the argument but itā€™s IAGā€™s ball and they have decided to go home and take the ball with them.

I can totally understand that, however, whatā€™s to say that in 6 months or a year, those will be withdrawn? Is there anything in the T&Cs that say those programmes are protected and will continue indefinitely? Those people have my sympathy and it could have been handled better but if BA had given..

IAG donā€™t care, the ā€œSpreadsheet Jockeysā€ have spoken. The beauty of being a lowly Bronze is that I sample a wide range of airlines and BA are mediocre most of the time. I can understand if people are close to GFL of GGLfL but I wouldnā€™t trust them to honour that for long

I donā€™t do New Years Resolutions or have a bucket list but this years goals are to attend the EAA Airventure at Oshkosh and thin out my collection of diecast model aircraft šŸ„“

BA short haul European are on a par with most other airlines; not flown with them long haul yet. The advent of the LCCs has led to a ā€œdumbing downā€ in service across all European airlines. Iā€™ve flown a few times in BA business this year and had some very good experiences

MyFlightRadar - just fill it in manually after every trip. I also have a back up paper log book.
