I'm almost at the point where I think we need to abolish the presidency as it is currently structured is the appropriate position. I think we have vested entirely too much power in the presidency. The president takes an oath to uphold the constitution and ensure all laws are faithfully followed.

There is a solutions to this. None of which is coming from the companies that are doing the stealing. If the government wants to allow your property to be taken then you have to be compensated and if not then the benefits of the taken property have to accrue to the public, not to private investors.

I just spent 30 minutes on a fools errand. I wrote to my senators. I live in Florida. Senators Moody and Scott are all aboard the Trump train and lately seem to want to move up to the front. I have no expectations but it's important to go on record and apply continuous incremental pressure.

Sometimes when my finger wants to hit the buy button after a relentless stream of product and service ads appear on almost every website (Bluesky excepted Yea!) I go outside and take the bus to a mall (in Pinellas county every bus goes to a mall) and walk amongst the merchandise until I am sated.

Ron DeSantis is a craven dipshit. The NYTimes both siding this issue are also a craven dipshits. Fact free speculation is not an objective comparison. The fact that he uses the term bodily autonomy after signing a 6 week abortion ban makes this even more disgusting. May his life be wretched forever.
