I'm not from the economic class they want to save. If they offer me space in a bomb shelter I'm going to assume it's a Fallout situation and the vaults are not actually someplace I'd like to be either.

Hitler was an artist. Donald's really trying to follow historic patterns here .

Two weeks ago I hung a bird feeder thinking my son might like it. This morning I found my 10-year old in his jammies, sitting by the window, recording bird songs like it's his job.

THIS is what you're writing about? Not his all-out attacks on people with autism, not the chance of wiping out herd mentality, not the stifling of medical research. Maybe you're the ones ignoring the big issue.

Well, there's one former flag of Germany a lot of them seem to still like...

They know what it stands for. They're fully aware.

You might be onto something with blasting Taylor Swift. Swifties are arguably the one group more united and devoted than MAGA. The Eras Tour proved they can shut down a city. And it would look really bad to turn the military on a bunch of young girls in glittery pink skirts.

No song, just a nod from one Zevon fan to another. Although I suppose "Carmelita" is also about L.A.

I said in November that he would be targeting three states - CA, NY, and MN. As a New Yorker, I'm just hoping enough of New England comes with us to not leave us vulnerable on two sides.

And Democratic leadership is going to take this to mean that if they move toward the center they'll get 80% support.

Doesn't privilege extend beyond death? Meaning that if this happened, the conversation was privileged and by saying this the lawyer is breaching the fundamental rule of his profession.

I had the same stress with my kid's party last month, down to having it at the local state park. Guess what? The second the kids were there they beelined for the playground and didn't remember adults existed until they got thirsty. I could have done 75% less and they wouldn't have even noticed.

The biggest domestic terrorism threat is from far-right white males. They just put the profile of a mass shooter in charge.

I very clearly said this is what the article insinuated, directly quoted the article, and then specifically said that I did not believe that. I even called the article a mess and a hit piece. So no, I very obviously am not saying that.

Even this mess of an article insinuates he had mental health issues and the shooter "was fed up." Being annoyed or having a verbal argument isn't a justification for murder. (Note that this article is absolutely a hit piece and I don't believe it at all, just saying it doesn't even help their side.)

I routinely skipped healthcare with my old job because the deductibles and copays were so high. I WORKED FOR A HOSPITAL.

The second I saw news of the attack I knew it would be weaponized against anyone who criticizes the Israeli state.

The same people who will call a woman a murderer if she says she can't afford to have a child and tell her she should have been more responsible.

I do see people saying "I can't pick up more hours or try for a better position because I'll be raised just above the threshold for services and lose my necessary medication."

This! Imagine the last 50 years of history if one person had one vote.

I mean, why did he go into the woods in the first place? He should have known that was risky. Sounds like he wanted to be shot.

So what is religious schooling through those ages?

Especially since the translation is very inexact and the original meaning was likely closer to "boys" than "men."

He's just big mad that more performers wouldn't play his rallies even if they were paid. Actually, they sued because he used their music without permission.

Not *some* McDonald's. There are a lot of places where fast food employs a lot of immigrant labor.

I'm thinking not since I don't think I've ever heard the name of the capitol's mayor, haha. My state has spineless senators and the largest city is likely to elect an absolute creep based on name recognition, but that city's also big enough to keep the whole state very blue.

Museum cats are also working animals. Mice can cause a ton of damage before humans really even know they're there. Buzz is keeping the museum's collection safe.

I have a family member who is 24 and already had a traumatic pregnancy. I've been trying for years to get her to move to my state, which has very robust protections and no problem telling the feds to eff themselves, instead of her current swing state.

Anthony Bourdain was right - they want to claim immigrants are stealing jobs but it's almost unheard of for a white person to apply to be a prep cook, let alone a dishwasher. If Trump gets his way, the restaurant industry as a whole will shut down.

Also that autistic people are totally oblivious to other people's emotions. My son is super empathetic, he just has trouble with the subtle differences in emotion. So if I'm crying at a movie, he gets upset because he thinks I'm actually in pain. He's not robotic at all, just a bit literal.

If I could afford to leave, I'd be gone yesterday. It's not because I don't want to fight. It's because I have a child who is part of a group being targeted with the same language used before the Nazis came for them. Protecting him is more important than any country.

I'm pretty sure I got on a list back when we thought Dubya was as bad as it could get, but just in case FUCK YOU, ICE, MAY YOU GET THE JAIL TERMS YOU DESERVE.
