Instead of focusing on America’s national security, this man is treating America like a reality show. Firing QUALIFIED military leaders! Playing with our national security! This isn’t a game. crockett.house.gov/media/press-...

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

This is how it’s done.

““We did not elect him,” a man shouted. As the town hall reached its scheduled end, more constituents shouted questions about Musk’s access to taxpayer data and yelled “don’t lie to us””

A full-on purge of the military leadership, targeting women and people of color. This perfectly captures where we are: An escalating authoritarian takeover of the state, combined with an aggressive program to re-segregate the spheres of influence and power and restore complete white male dominance.

The power is with the people, if and when we exercise it. Be prepared and ready to participate in what may be a necessary and historic protest. The United States has a history of significant protests resulting in monumental change. www.livescience.com/16153-10-sig...

Defending Trump’s power grab with the “unitary executive theory” is just a fancy way of claiming the president can rule the executive branch like a monarch. This argument has no basis in history or the Constitution.

“You’re gonna make a few mistakes when you’re up all night tripping on ketamine,” the 16-year-old deputy head of DOGE said.

Hard to know exactly what the breaking point will be, but one will come and it remains to be seen which side capitulates- the oligarchy or democracy.

The cabinet must invoke the 25th amendment and remove Elon Musk from office

"Moderate" Republicans vote for Trump Nominee A after A assures them they won't do X. After confirmation, they immediately do X. "Moderate" Republicans say Nominee B assured them they won't do X. After confirmation, they immediately do X. Repeat with Nominees C, D, E, F, G, etc.

What the hell is he talking about?

Lawfare is tracking over 70 cases of legal challenges to the Trump administration’s executive orders and actions, as well as cases on behalf of the Trump administration to enforce them. Check out the tracker here, updated by @annahickey.bsky.social: www.lawfaremedia.org/projects-ser...

Tyranny requires your fear, your silence, and your compliance. Democracy requires your courage.

Social media and mainstream media amplify the lies to the point where too many believe in the lies and not the truth.

Jim Acosta: I think the AP should consider whether or not to sue the administration… and the rest of the press corps should start seriously considering whether it’s worth sending everyone into the Oval Office, onto Air Force One, or into the briefing room.

Hey, what's a decimal place or three among friends, amirite? Millions or billions, sheesh!

I try not to like spin out over every new dumb thing happening in the Trump admin. But I am increasingly concerned they do something egregious enough to the military and we end up with some general deciding he needs to take control and restore order. Probably the most dangerous outcome.

this is certain to be popular with Trump's base. I see nothing that could go wrong here!

Don’t buy stuff on February 28. Money’s the only thing these dicks understand. #resist

It's hard to know what to say, other than this rises far above any level of corruption imaginable in the White House- by the founding fathers all the way up to most recent history prior to January 20, 2017.

Very normal country we have now

Crockett: "I understand when people say they are concerned about our debt, as they should be. But if you really want to look at the problem, it's probably with the Trump administration. We know that that administration, the last time they were in, ran our debt up an additional $8 trillion."

It's called The Gulf of Mexico. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Promise: "I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One." Reality:

What can you do? Don’t give up hope. Dictators feed off your hopelessness. Don’t quit. Dictators want you to give up. Punch back. Dictators are bullies, and bullies are cowards. Stay tethered to the truth. Dictators need you to believe their lies. Resist. Stand with others.

This is so incredibly, goofily stupid—a slapstick level of dumbass, self-defeating, wasteful procurement even if it’s somehow not as corrupt as it looks—but I suspect absolutely no one is going to prevent it from happening. What an embarrassment. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/12/u...
