I always shock my students a bit when I tell them that quantitative data is just qualitative data that has already been interpreted numerically.

This is what the government did with 120K+ Japanese Americans in 1942. I know. I was there in those camps.

This is a very good (and correct imo) thread – read the whole thing

@roguelike.club great to see you here! I've enjoyed the last couple years attending and getting to learn about amazing creatives and finding a welcoming community of game devs.

@neomeruru.bsky.social I went to check the latest comic from your Notion page, and it links to HowBaby, rather than HowBabyComic which is a domain currently for sale. Might be something to fix, or an opportunity to get a shorter domain....

Realizing I was trans meant that I was opening the door on all I had repressed in my life. Almost like Pandora's box. There was a lot of trauma there, but also that ray of light that evaporated the crippling anxiety and depression over 2 weeks that had meant I hadn't lived for 30 years.

@yongfook.bsky.social Good to see you over here, I've followed your journey for a while on Twitter and always appreciate your openness about running your businesses.

This is how you become a writer: just pick one of the things that is deeply wrong with you. Make it a character. Now send it on a self-help journey or try to kill it. Now call it a book.

I always try to keep accessibility in mind when designing something, and thought these were some good tips on accessibility. I feel like a lot of attitude of people is, this is some burden to put in for a small minority, but so much of it just improves the experience for everyone. Like a curb cut.

@voraciousgames.bsky.social I'm loving the new update! I wish there was a way to check what advertising campaign you bought for the next day without saving and reloading. I bought one, had to quit, and now that I'm coming back I forgot what it was. 😰

I'm thinking of starting a new business. It'll be a hyper specific match making service where I introduce your face to your palm.

I enjoy coming up with ridiculous reasons for why I'm trans. My favorite is: I watched The Red Green Show growing up and took the Man's Prayer from the end a little too literally. "I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess." I didn't expect your gender to be a DIY project.

I like to consider how you could make writing about history appeal to a wider audience. I'm thinking of putting flip book doodles in the pages of my history of the HRE in the 1520's and calling it A Diet Of Worms.

I'm so excited to revisit Potionomics. It's such an adorable game, and crafting!

If a trans woman pursues a math degree, would that make her a matrix? 🤔

Watching Bocchi the Rock! and seeing the little anxious gay girl become confident has made me realize that just how much of anything in my childhood that was remotely feminine expression I just completely shut out of my life. Now to dive into that....
