I guess the bright side is all the returning troops can fill some empty bases here in the US.
Bad news for all the soldiers , contractors and businesses the rely on the interaction between the bases and the locals.

I retired from a construction company. New hires were hit with a lot of costs which we would try helping with, but it would put them behind for a while.
Costs included: food and lodging for out of town work, (which would be paid back the next week), good work boots, clothes, tools

Opposing views were talked over and hung up on. When I started researching the ACA act and reading the actual act and compared it to what they said it said, that was it.
I was now a liberal. And all thanks to conservative talk radio. There was no liberal talk radio. They did it all on their own.
