Oh, yes, I'm not just an amateur historian, but I have a cat. I found out this week that she is allergic to fleas, "storage mites" (stuff of nightmares) and privet hedges. Her kibble is now in the freezer and I am struggling valiantly to keep privet hedges from invading my house.
