This past weekend, I watched a bunch of Morris dancers perform in front of the Conservatory of Flowers, which is was built in the style of the greenhouses at Kew in London.

I'm strangely relieved that it's the local donut eaters and not the sleep deprived soldiers Trump dumped in the local federal buildings without beds or food.

I think the phrase is "Wait, what?"

I miss two things about the East Coast after I moved to the West Coast. One was fireflies and the other was these little bastards. So pretty. So cheeky.

Are they still all sleeping on the floor in the lobby of some federal building? The way Trump and his flying monkeys are planning things, it's going to looks like...

They're going to run out of military people. There are more than 300 million of us.

Knowing primates, I'd say the first thing they'd do if they got out was raid that ice cream kiosk across the plaza because they've spent years watching human primates enjoying those tasty treats.

I call those vigilante terrorists, "Trump's flying monkeys"

It'd be funny if absolutely no one showed up.

They are going to come after people at rallies. Seriously. Someone needs to stay home with the little guy.

Wouldn't it be funny if they show up and there is absolutely no one there in LA because they all went to San Diego?

Don't take children to protests. They are little and damage from a rubber bullet can go a much longer way that it does to a fully grown adult.

Time to move the protests to Sacramento for a couple of days and then to Redding and then to SF and then back to LA. Keep them packing and re-packing.

That's really cool. I did not know that there were Gaelic signs in the US at all.

Next thing you know, the MAGAs will want to rename Belgian waffles as 'Murica waffles.

Please do not let 47 deploy military troops in our state.

If people protest in every single city, are they going to send marines to every city?

I met both of you guys at a Star Trek convention in the 1970s. Doohan was a hoot, you were/are a gentleman.

Not enough popcorn. Just not enough.

I'm reading about it from the alt national parks feed and it's really getting juicy. Bannon has stepped in now. It's like a drunken slap fight.

Sorry to hear about your nasal woes. I'm "enjoying" my post covid loss of sense of smell. I can smell things - no I can't - I can smell things - oh wait, no I can't. Our bodies can be such jerks.

Funny how Cobumlia caved in to his demands and he's still tormenting them.

Unike people with selfie sticks who are just gratingly annoying.

I think I mentioned I tore up my diploma and mailed it back to them. This is so ridiculous.

If you use a thumbtack, the hole is very small. I did a paper on Irish medieval manuscripts in college when the books were on loan in NYC from Trinity College. They used a pin of some sort to make the circles in the Book of Lindisfarne I used a magnifying glass to see the holes, they were that small

Not sure what the finished object will be but just realize that red pigments are fugitive and will break down relatively quickly compared to other pigments. You can get thick sharpies in red. and use a tack and a string (tied on one end to the tack and the other to the pen) as a compass.

I wonder if they had a lottery. Trump will do anything to grift more people. 1 million bucks a ticket and a drawing to see who gets to punch the dude in the eye.

Your dog is looking at you longingly, while holding the leash in his/her/their mouth. The eyebrow wiggle is tugging at your heartstrings.

And of course, women can't get a D&C for it because some evangelicals think a fetus without a heartbeat is more valuable than the vessel containing it.

So sexual abuse is just par for the course? I'd love to get the author's shrink drunk so they can tell me a few things.

Fair enough. It already *is* a pot, so one could say it becomes a pot instantly. OK, that's all I got.
comment in response to post
Well, I can soak beans overnight and then patiently burn them on the stove or I can toss them and some water in the instant pot and let it do all the work for 45 minutes. I am a TERRIBLE cook and instant pots literally save my bacon.

Anyone who needs it should get it. Those billionaires should know that having their workers call in sick will cost them money.
