I honestly didn't think that Naga would have won against anyone. I still would have voted for Miia if I'm honest though. They were all great choices.

Yeah, that certainly would be something bad if it were to happen. I don't think that even Nintendo has gone down that path, at least not yet.

This is more about the anime distribution than anything else imho, where Sony already has captured most of the market by owning Crunchyroll/Funimation.
Owning Kadokawa pretty much vertically integrates everything, from manga/LN production to anime adaptations, to distributing them.
