62% of nursing home residents are funded by Medicaid and 50 percent of kids. These are your family members and neighbors and friends. And odds are people you love use or will need these services one day.

Democrats did all we could to stand united and oppose Republicans’ reckless and harmful budget. When Americans start to see their health insurance costs go up, lose funding for schools, have their roads deteriorate, and have an even harder time affording groceries – they have Republicans to blame.

From what I've seen, the idea is to *replace* EB-5 with the Trump Gold Card.
Which, uh, he can't do, because 8 U.S.C. § 1153(b)(5) already lays out a whole lot of specific requirements for these "employment creation" visas.
As you said, he has to ask Congress.

And my guess is he wants kids because kids will be so overawed with the power they’ve been entrusted with by a tech celebrity that they’ll do a lot of things seasoned pros, whatever their politics, might balk at. Might even be worried about personal liability for.
