Once again I ask myself: Why in the world does anyone (much less ME) like the game Ark?

I tried an instant hot pot thing today and it was good but also I feel like this really sums up my experience with it.

My Spotify has a device called "Den TV" listed in the device list on another network, and I have no idea what it is. I clicked it for more info... So I'm sorry to whomever's TV just started streaming a song that is just a string of Quebecois swears. Your TV is probably not haunted.

looking back, AOL had it right. 30 hours of internet per month was the right amount.

This is your periodic reminder that having long-haired cats is such a pain in the ass.

Today @beebrookshire.bsky.social told me that on a team of garbage-loving critters I would be the opossum because "you got both the chill and the SCREAMING" and I am extremely pleased if this is vibe I put out into the world. Opossum vibes. ...I also lay on the ground completely still when stressed.

We kept talking about making a band Bluesky account (deactivated the other one after years of not posting) but IT IS FINALLY TIME

Today's venue is The Local in Toronto! We absolutely love this place. The stage is picturesque and oddly placed, if we're being honest, but it absolutely adds to the charm.

I just woke up from a dream where I slept through until 8 PM, missing all the obligations I had for the day. That said, I do feel like being wide awake at 7:30 for an 11 AM activity is overkill.

Remember, now more than ever, every day is shut the fuck up Friday. Love, Your Future Lawyer.

I feel like I should have known that checking on social media tonight was a mistake. It seems like it's always a mistake these days.

I am not gonna post about this all the time, but now that I have tried Retro for a bit I actually really do like it; it's like the parts of Instagram that I actually want. I can share photos to my friends (and no one else) and see photos posted by my friends (and no one else). If you're interested:

Also, let me testify to the power of “Ew.” Just “Ew.” Maybe a “Gross.” I have seen people fully call themselves out after getting just an “ew” response to a foul statement.

I have rectified the zero peas issue! We also bought some corn as a treat.

I paid sixty dollars for No Man's Sky nine years ago and they refuse to stop making the video game. I've begged them to go home to their families but they won't stop adding new kinds of weird little guys and like, optimizing the gentle patter of rain on an alien ocean. Please let me pay for a DLC

I submitted Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego to a Music League playlist and I'm belatedly realizing that it could have fit into at LEAST five of the categories in the league, and it would have been the ultimate troll move.

one of the worst fucking things in the world is the move to call sincerity and care "cringe" fuck that shit. let's build a political community based on care for one another.

If the firehose of doom is knocking you down, today, try doing: 1 thing to improve your own comfort/happiness (let yourself have something good) 1 thing to improve your immediate environment (clear your space a little) 1 thing to support your community (donate, support, amplify, speak out)

You won't be any better at fighting what's coming if you burn yourself out and spend all your time feeling bleak and hopeless, and the people telling you that it's all despair now probably don't have anyone's best interest at heart.

I've been watching season two of Squid Game and every single episode so far has had at least one twist in it that has made me go "OOOOOOOH" out loud.

I find it really easy to figure out how mechanical things work.

Tried making congee for the first time this week, and it turned out okay! I did come to the realization that I am definitely just treating it like a wet grain bowl, though. What can I put on top of this? ...What do I have in my fridge that I don't know what to do with?

I've been exploring tatreez over the last year or so. My incredible Palestinian teachers are coming to Kitchener (Ont.) on Saturday to do a workshop. Learn about ongoing importance of tatreez as resistance, the language of tatreez motifs, and the basics of stitching. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

Buying up a whole neighbourhood, kicking out the residents and knocking down the houses so I could build new ones and move in my much more interesting family. (The Sims.)

Hello?

Argh I do not want to listen to your article as a podcast. I want to read it with my eyes IN SILENCE.

I also made a Retro account I guess... What I need in my life is another social platform to keep track of I guess. Check it out? retro.app/@electricdryad

Nice people are struggling over the revelations on Gaiman, and something I keep hearing is, 'His work had a big influence on how I shaped my own identity.' So here's something to remember: You did that. He didn't do it for you. 1/
