I was looking for this conversation. South Park has and continues to push this ethos that caring about anything is bad and should be avoided. But also, their treatment of right wing politicians is markedly different from left wing ones. And just, so much racism (But it’s just a joke, so it’s OK?)

I'm an elder millennial. I recognize "Caring is lame" as what the cool older (read Gen X) kids were saying when I was a kid. IIRC, it was being tied to nihilism from growing up during the Cold War when the world could be destroyed at any moment and there was literally nothing they could do about it.
