The best definition, which is actually quite moving, of intelligence I’ve read in a long time. Read on. It’s got to do with humbleness, openness, curiosity—not solid thinking or ego.

What happened to waxed paper, if we must use to-go?

“This woman’s response to a “smarter” man’s post-date text. My God.”

The moves align with a conservative playbook to reduce faculty power on campuses perceived by many on the right as bastions of liberal thought. This year, several other Republican-led states passed laws...

RIP to all the hours of our own lives that we've lost to the breakup of two of the world's most self-centered individuals. ~ Molly, ed.

“The good news, from a Buddhist point of view, is we don’t actually have to be hateful. We don’t have to be prejudiced. We can dissolve our hate, born of ignorance—by bringing in sunshine, education, empathy, and heart connection.” ~ Waylon Lewis

Editing an article this morning with the title, "Be Kind . . . of a Bitch." and I honestly feel so seen. ~ Molly, ed. [Article coming soon!]

He should know. PS: and yet he backed him 1,000%.

Today I saw a pigeon cross the road. No, really. I did. I've been trying all day to think of a good joke about it, but I just keep thinking about that brave little pigeon taking its own sweet time to walk in front of the car, and the decent human being who stopped and waited patiently. ~ Molly, Ed.

"If I am to understand… …that you are enquiring whether I am of Jewish origin..."

I live here. Boulder is strong in our love.

President Trump is intensifying his criticism of Senate Republicans who are threatening to jeopardize the passage of his domestic agenda.

I live in Boulder, which just suffered a hate crime from a mad man. A survivor of the Holocaust was among those grieviously harmed. We are not a headline, nor front page news. We are a community. Our care extends to what is being done to our country, too. We are strong in our love.

Having a hard day?

A poem to (re)read when life is kicking your arse.

Last night, I repotted an aloe plant that needed a new, larger pot. Its roots were bound, and my fingers needed to touch dirt. Win-win. What's your latest act of self-care? ~ Molly, Ed.

"Populists prey on irrational fear, hate, blame, grievance, low information, lack of self accountability, and especially victim mentality." ~ a comment

(Hint: these are achievable, realistic goals!)

Rand Paul: "I talk to the Farm Bureau which is opposed to tariffs, I talk to the bourbon industry which is opposed to tariffs, I talk to the people building houses... I have no organized business interest in Kentucky for tariffs. Republicans used to be for lowering taxes. Tariffs are a tax."

As they say in Zen Buddhism, if you don't have time to meditate, then meditate twice as long. But really: even a few minutes a day can and will relax your neurosis, wake up your habits, and dissolve your stress.

Now *this* is the American spirit I love.

The best thing about Facebook is Marketplace + staying in touch with friends & loved ones + trying to share thoughtful genuine factual things that matter. The worst thing about Facebook is Zuckerberg's lack of ethics a&nd greed, that leads to all the lies, aggression, & heightened polarization.

“A mature, well thought out, and well written statement. We need more of this in our society.”

My mom told me that a cup of tea can solve (almost) anything. I believe her. Even more so that I've realized today the "almost" is kicking in. This cuppa is doing nothing for my bad hair day. ~ Molly, Ed.
