For those of us with deep roots in red states—especially rural areas—writing op-eds in local and regional papers is a powerful way to contribute. Even if you’ve moved away, these outlets need a steady flow of stories that resonate locally.
PS—would you be willing to share this piece I wrote? 🙏🏼

NSF is also 0.1% of the federal budget, and the operations budget (people) is 5% of that. So they're reducing the budget by half of 0.005%, or one forty-thousandth.

Now logging off for the weekend because I simply cannot.
Trying to just focus on what's in front of me—have to remind myself that there's no use worrying about whether grant or postdoc funding will exist for either global or US based health disparities work in the next two years 🫠

Colleagues at BU and Harvard have been archiving a lot of this data since November. Many of the datasets will be posted on dataverse.harvard.edu. If you have some datasets, it'd be great to coordinate and see what we've missed. Let me know if you want me to connect you w/ our team here.

We're going to definitely incorporate and cite this book once we get our reviews back!
