Look at that happened to Munroe Bergdorf; she was harmless, she did nothing wrong. People were fired for hiring her as a brand representative! They did nothing wrong either.
There's no rationale to it other than eradicating of trans people from public life. You can't negotiate with it.

If you are a trans person being harassed at work, you will see Beth Upton and ask yourself whether it could ever be worth it to mention it to your boss.
Because if action is taken against your harasser, you might just be inviting the dedicated harassment of an entire hate movement instead.
