It looks like we’re getting an update on them with the current 90 Day Diaries.

Definitely pricey designer (my guess).
If, that is, it is true that she had a handbag stolen.

Just wanted to say I went to college with Amy Bloom (didn't really know her, but I remember her), and everything she's written is incredibly good.

I went to a class in 1970 when a friend was applying to a college program. Still think about the class discussion of this story.

Maybe you could help people by labeling this as satire?

That’s where I am.
While I was typing an email in my work account the other day, a little capitalized message popped up: “Polish.” I couldn’t figure out what I wrote that looked like it needed to be translated from or to Polish.
I’ve ignored every suggestion from my employer to incorporate AI.

And if the values of our IRA principles decline with the slaughtered stock and bond markets, we rely even more than we expected on Social Security. Lots of already-retired/semi-retired people are in this situation.

Also, you are not the only one who has been paying payroll taxes on your account. Any employers you've had have (approximately) matched your contributions.
Note also that, although you had to pay those payroll taxes, you also paid income taxes on those taxes (double-taxation).

There's another great movie on this topic, WE HAVE A POPE (2011), starring Michel Piccoli as a skittish Pope-elect. It's available to stream on Kanopy and for free on Tubi and Plex.

That’s the way people his age dress in this area, plus he’s a big guy. I think for the sort of job he was applying for, he looked fine.
Our opinions can differ, though, of course!

I loved the evening you came to @burnsfilmcenter.bsky.social and showed CLEOPATRA JONES...and then did a fantastic Q&A. I'd seen some of the films in the book, but there are dozens more I'll see eventually.

That sounds way too whimsical, whether or not one is familiar with the novel of the same name.

Because it's not possible to have already seen every great film (let alone every merely good ones)? Don't beat yourself up; just think about how much you have to look forward to. 📽️ #FilmSky

I came to CT for college shortly after your family lived here. Moved back 10 years ago. It’s a great place to live.

I was not being a jerk. Most of the active posters here about movies are Americans.
Don’t worry. I won’t try to be helpful to you again.
