Gophers are already on here twice. We would be too powerful.

I’m happy to say Jazz has become a friend of mine because he’s taken time to directly engage with me during his campaign. Even though we may not be in 100% political alignment. I’m going to enjoy ranking him. And I would hope my fellow lefties can understand him “playing the game” a little here.

We certainly might get to the point where we would want stronger messaging about it. But I don’t think we are there quite yet. I wonder if Jazz sees Frey aligned voters as more amicable to ranking him higher than they would a Davis/Fateh and doesn’t want to rip up that support. Which I understand.

Free buses! Affordable housing and groceries! The horror!

Is anyone making lawn signs or anything like that for “Don’t Rank Frey”? I would love one and I think the sooner we start really pressing this on the Anti Frey/Undecided voters, the better.

She’s so regal. Here’s some older pics of when it was fresh and I used to call her “microphone cat”, her shelter pic that was on the website, plus one where you can actually tell.

Here’s Rosa btw. Through all the fluff you can barely tell.

Fellow Ward 3 resident here. Would love to hear how this meeting goes! I would ask why the PD doesn’t yet have their disciplinary matrix ready for this, as well as if they are investigating officers who covered up their badges/names and were physical with protestors. Both “idk” like answers today.

This really confuses me as we are unable to get a clear answer from AC Gaiters. Because this seems like a clear violation of Title VII and/or IRCA. Council Member Chavez clarifies here that the concern is with how it is being received by the PD at large. Agrees with the mission of the statement.

Council Member Chavez asks a question, similar to my concern, about why the previously mentioned “training gap” ended up as the highlighted barrier to compliance. “I am concerned that that is even a thought.”
comment in response to post
Assistant Chief Chris Gaiters is unable to update Council Member Cashman on whether or not there was any investigation into MPD Officers covering their nameplates or physically engaging with protestors.

I wonder if this can be applied to public education resources as well.

An assassin with a history of violence moved freely through our neighborhood he bought a car from a local seller, traveled through Robbinsdale, and was later found living right here in Ward 4 yet no shelter-in-place alert, no community warning, no protection was issued for our families. 3/5

This stretch seems like hell

Backlash against meaningful change is a perfect encapsulation. And I fear, as you do as well, that they are letting themselves be dragged to the right without really seeing it happen. Its always puzzled me how easily mods fall to the right while fighting “the left” tooth and nail on every item.
