@dgalasinski.bsky.social oh, how disappointing, we disagree. I have left a comment. I admit, we could disagree because I am the least typical wine buyer in the world. But I really think I disagree because of what you have said in the past and my views of a merchants' duty when writing neck labels.

@dgalasinski.bsky.social old chap, I see in my Winemag digest you have taken on wine scores. I am literally too excited to read it! FWIW, I do not think there is a linear scale of the *quality* of all wines that they can be positioned on. Wine should be assessed for its unique intrinsic qualities.

The Wine Soc have this desirable 2020 Côte-Rôtie. It's only 13.5% - low for a 20. Julien Barges blends all his (excellent) lieux-dits together, rather than have a plethora of cuvées like his dad - this is a good thing. This is much cheaper than the 22 (which is 12%), so could be the choice.

One of the neighbours' cats comes to my bedroom window every morning at 06:30 and taps on the glass to summon my cat Hector. Through the glass, they sniff, paw at and rub against each other. Then this visitor seems happy his friend is ok and departs. Hector yowls for him to come back.

Jancis Robinson recently recommended Rieussec 2021, she was very impressed. So I looked for a bottle. A wine merchant was selling it for £60. They listed other vintages for sale. They had stellar 2001 vintage with a single bottle for £55. Guess which I bought!😊🎉 For truly life smiles on me!

My #Surface Pro 11 #Copilot+ PC is freaking brilliant. It's very fast, the battery lasts and lasts, and it looks really good. The Copilot+ PC spec sets an excellent baseline for a modern computer, and when you get a new laptop, you should get one. If you disagree, you're a luddite, pure and simple.

I've offered my wonderful friend @ricard67.bsky.social this choice of sweet wines for when we next meet. Rieussec 99 is beautiful now. Fargues 08 is rich and decadent. The Ge-wurst VT will not be that sweet, but should be full of the character of a top vineyard. I don't know what I want him to pick!

On Tuesday I've got to go and see the surgeon who hacked open my back and placed electrodes in it. Since it has been an incredible success, this will be the last ever time I see him. Wehay! Result!!
